Ever had an urgent request pop up regarding some obscure email fired out from your instance? Things are going wrong and you need to fix it! Quickly! We all have. We have all also had the anxiety of trying to track down this offending email with little to go on (especially if it's using a subject line that gets lots of action!). Some of us can solve this problem by placing a cleverly hidden program ID token in our emails' footers. However, some of us cannot place this token in any visible area due to brand guidelines (it's a thing, I promise). So, what do you do then? The easy answer is to keep doing what you're doing in stealth mode by using a program ID token as a homing beacon! Instead of trying to make your program ID tokens invisible in the displayed output of your email messages, you can completely hide it within the email template coding so that it does not display at all. How do we do this? Update your email templates with an html comment
I recently opened a ticket with Adobe support re: HA and disaster recovery options for AEM 6.5. Unfortunately, the engineer I spoke with didn't have much experience with it and referred me to some documentation, and said support could not assist with the configuration. I found this odd, especially given the official documentation. I imagine it's likely others could have questions about it too. Looking over the doc, I'm almost certain I will have questions. This doc: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/deploying/deploying/tarmk-cold-standby.html?lang=en seems like it makes the most sense for our on-premises AEM 6.5 TarMK (file data store) based instance. The instructions are somewhat complex/involved (I'm a little confused by the crx-quickstart/install config files for the standby instance instructions). I recall earlier AEM 5.x clustering was not recommended and maybe did not work properly? Does anyone know if the above cold standby config is supported / recom
I am repeatedly running into the following problem with edit rights on Adobe Analytics projects and segments: For projects there is an advanced sharing feature, that distinguishes between edit, duplicate and view-rights. For segments there is a basic sharing feature only, that is similar to the duplicate mechanism of project-rights-management. This leads to the following reoccurring issue: I share one of my projects with a colleague and grant him edit rights. My colleague needs to be able to edit the project in all its tables, table filters, segments etc. However, the project contains some segments created by myself. As segment based edit rights do not exist, my colleague always has to reach out to me in order to adjust the segments. Or to be more precise, all colleagues will have to reach out to me (system administrator) if they share dashboards with colleagues and run into the same issue. After contacting Adobe Customer Care, they suggested granting system administrator rights to
I've attempted to share an item in someone's inbox with another user. It shows the "Shared with other user(s)" icon next to the item but when I click the share button again it doesn't show who it was shared with and the person I shared it with does not see the item in the their inbox. I also tried impersonating the person the task is currently assigned to but cannot seem to share it as the dropdown to select a person does not ever populate. so two things: why does the sharing not seem to take? why can't users other than admins get results in the user dropdown to share tasks or inboxes?
Anyone know a workaround to have an approver on multiple stages?

We are using AEM 6.5.10 and we are performing the below targeting in our pages. A/B form-based A/B visual composer XT form-based XT visual composer We have setup the above four levels of targets in Adobe Target for the AEM pages to be shown. We are seeing the targeted content in Google Chrome for all four way of targeting (working fine in chrome) but when it comes to Mozilla Firefox none of the targeting is working as expected (all four ways of targeting not working) as a result we could see only the default content on the targeted pages all the time.Is there any issue in Mozilla Firefox version 105.0.1 from where we are facing this kind of problem. It will be helpful if someone could help with the setting change in Firefox (or) any official page which has mentioned the above issue so that we can highlight to our client. Thanks in advance !
Hi All,I have an AEM instance deployed on WebSphere Stack. Everything works as expected as per AEM side, but in WAS console, I see the status of all 4 EARs as down. I have verified in the logs while startup of the JVMs, all 4 EARs starts successfully.Complete Application Stack details :-AEM On-Premise 6.5-AEMForms-6.5.0-0040 -WebSphere Base 9.0.5.11 -Linux RedHat_79Application servers are :- AEM is installed on cluster1 JVM, while the admin is for WebSphere by default. Note :- This is a stand Alone setup, not Clustered one.If I try starting up any application or stopping it from the WAS console, it throws error like following :I am not aware of any console running on cluster1. This makes any action from WAS console as useless, like creating a heapdump/ uninstalling any application/monitoring logs.Is there any config missing from WAS or during deployment of these EARs from Configuration manager there is a trick involved?Any insight is appreciated. Thanks,Rajat

We are interested in talking to people in marketing organizations about the way you hand work from one person to another during a campaign. Please note that to participate in this study, you do not need to use Workfront! When I come into work each day, I know exactly what is going to happen and what I should be working on because I put everything into Workfront. And by everything, I mean everything. My meetings, assignments, 1:1s, quarterly goals, the team’s birthdays and anniversaries, performance edge deadlines, as well as personal errands such as checking the salt levels in my water softener and when my car registration is due. As I said, everything. It’s the beginning of March. Let me show you what my Workfront Home looks like: And that goes all the way to December. This is a partial list of what I have listed in Workfront for next week: As you can see, in addition to tasks I need to complete, all of my recurring team meetings and 1:1s are in Workfront. Why? Because it is my system of record. Workfront is where I put my agendas. It’s where I put my meeting notes. And resulting tasks. It’s a way for me to report on how much time I’m spending on team meetings and 1:1s.

Has anyone else noticed this new feature mentioned below? It is really inconvenient and makes setting timelines a tedious task. Takes me twice as long now to reset timelines since you have to click twice in the field now to get the calendar to open up to change the date. This is not helping to streamline anything, it is making things more difficult and adding much more time to our Workfront roles. I wish they would go back to the way it was. 😊 Date picker no longer automatically opens on input focus or click Navigation When a user navigates by keyboard, date pickers are no longer automatically opened upon the date input receiving keyboard focus. Instead, keyboard users should tab to the date picker icon and press Enter to open the date picker. When a user navigates by mouse, date pickers are no longer automatically opened upon the date input being clicked. Instead, mouse users should click the date picker icon to open the date picker. Significance of having maintenance mode in AEM Replication Agent by Debal Das Abstract Like any other tools or applications we always consider maintenance word with utmost importance for AEM also. We have seen so many great articles on AEM maintenance but here I would like to talk about maintenance mode associated with AEM Replication agent. If we take a look at com.day.cq.replication.Agent , it has one method called: isInMaintenanceMode() and it describes “Checks if the agent is in maintenance mode”. But most of us we don’t talk about the usage of this method. Recently I was part of one technical discussion and got an opportunity explore this method. The ask was: What exactly does the maintenanceMode=true do? Here is significance of having maintenance mode enabled for an agent [explained beautifully by Adobe AEM architect]- “If you have the maintenance mode enabled for an agent, this agent is no longer considered when checking the replication status. That means it still delivers co
I know we have components and you can create custom components, but is there a way to save sections to reuse in other pages? Like a library of reusable designs/layouts. A lot of builders have this functionality, even with a preview of the element. Like this https://help.pagefly.io/manual/saved-section
We've two thirdparty packages which we've included in the code and these packages we successfully installed in the first deployment via cloud manager. However, from the next deployment it gives an error saying package already exists. These packages are added in /apps/search-packages/install/application. we're using AEMaaCS. Is there a way we can forceupload the packages as part of the CM deployment?
Hi all, We are currently evaluating XML Documentation for AEM. The idea is to have all the technical content (dita assets) stored in AEM and exposed them via a bunch of services which the frontend will then consume and render accordingly. The existing frontend has a rich set of JSON APIs exposed out of the existing platform that AEM is set to replace. We can of course use the Assets HTTP API to retrieve these dita payloads. However, would it not be possible to put one or more of these assets (dita) on a page and then call the page.json to retrieve its JSON output which will contain the dita asset? My current understanding is that doing so will simply return a link to the dita asset in the page's JSON payload. Equally, Sling Model Exporter framework [0] can also be used to customise the JSON by including selective parts of the dita asset in the payload. I am aware of the REST APIs [1] that XML Documentation offers but the need is pretty bespoke JSON payloads to support the headless use c
I have a html file which is residing in DAM which is the default page to be displayed from Akamai incase of an error. We don't have sites license and hence this html residing in DAM. I have the html file now available in DAM like an asset. But when I try to access it through the dispatcher URL, it gets downloaded as a file than opening the page inline in the browser. How can i fix this issue and open that inline instead of downloading? I tried https://helpx.adobe.com/mt/experience-manager/kb/HTML-file-stored-in-CRX-does-not-open-in-Browser-instead-is-getting-downloaded.html and https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42447453/is-there-a-way-to-upload-html-pages-into-aem-dam
