First, I'm not the Workfront Admin for my company, but I am the only one using Workfront's Request form for our company's global sales team, so it seems this is my issue to solve. We recently were forced by Adobe to upgrade to the Admin Console & a Federated ID using our company SSO. Prior to this I could send a link to my request form out to any person in the company and they could submit a project. Now when they try, they all get the following:I've found a way to get around the error (well so far it only works for a few people) but it's not easy. This request tool is being sent to roughly 700 people across the globe and I can't have a complicated work around just to allow them access to what's already a border line complicated request form. Is there an easy fix for this?
Introduction Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is built on three types of datasets to gather actionable insights into your customers' journeys. These dataset types, Event, Lookup, and Profile, each play a unique role in capturing and presenting different aspects of customer data. Event datasets are structured to record detailed interactions at specific points in time, covering every key action that a customer takes on your platforms. In contrast, Lookup datasets serve as reference points, offering metadata context to the recorded event values. Profile datasets, however, concentrate on the individuals behind those actions, combining the data into customer attribute metadata. Each dataset type serves a unique purpose and provides specific data points critical to understanding customer interactions. This blog post offers an overview of these three CJA dataset types. It highlights their key characteristics and potential applications, helping you understand their functionaliti
Authors: Jaemi Bremner (#Jaemi_Bremner), Sunil Kumar A K, and Sachin Yelchithaya (#Sachin_Yelchith). In this blog, we are explaining different approaches on how we can build a dataset in Adobe Experience Platform to perform cross-device analysis using Customer Journey Analytics which was incepted from multiple customer requests. Statistics from various sources depict the usage of multiple devices across digital domains. This makes it interesting to get some insight into specific patterns of consumer behavior across devices. While mobile usage is on the constant rise, tablets and desktops continue to mark their presence as well. Generally, around twenty percent of cross-device transactions completed on a desktop start on a smartphone, and 35% of those completed on a smartphone begin on a desktop. Ignoring to measure the cross-device performance, this alone could lead to poor decisions based on weak or insufficient data. A study says globally, 31.6 billion connected devices are exp
Hello everyone! Welcome to our first thread on 'Tuesday's Tech Bytes'. This thread focuses on 'Tips & tricks in Adobe Web/Mobile SDK Migration'. Considering we already know about what Adobe Web/Mobile SDK is, let’s not spend time reviewing anything over here. For more information related to Web/Mobile SDK, kindly go through the Implement Adobe Experience Cloud with Web SDK tutorial from Adobe Experience League. Also, for these posts, rather than reading through the paragraphs, let’s ask and answer questions in phases for a more directed understanding. What’s the licensing cost? All Experience Cloud customers can use Platform Web/Mobile SDK. It is not a requirement to license a Platform-based application like Real-Time Customer Data Platform or Journey Optimizer to use Web/Mobile SDK. So, the important stopper is already out of our equation. How do we convince our business for this migration? Platform Web/Mobile SDK can solve multiple problem areas in data colle
Hello everyone! Welcome to our second thread on ‘Tuesday's Tech Bytes’. This thread focuses on 'Tips & Tricks in Adobe Web/Mobile SDK Migration' and is the second part associated with the topic. Please head over here to read the first. Without further ado, let's pick up where we left off last week. Once Datastream is configured what would be the immediate next step? The immediate next step is to configure the 'Data Collection Tags' for data collection; however, the configuration steps are somewhat different from the legacy one. What are the extensions required to implement/migrate Platform Web/Mobile SDK? It is important to note that the extensions for Web and Mobile are not the same, and hence the tag configuration for this implementation/migration differs. The below extensions are exclusive from the default extensions like Core for Web and Mobile Core & Profile for Mobile. Extensions for Web: Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK (Mandatory) Common Web SDK P
Hello, everyone! Nice to have you back for another exciting edition of 'Tuesday's Tech Bytes'. Having wrapped up our discussion on 'Tips & Tricks in Adobe Web/Mobile SDK Migration' last week, we're all set to delve into our next topic: 'Best Practices for Adobe Web/Mobile SDK Migration’. If you missed our previous threads on the first theme, be sure to catch up right here (Part 1 & Part 2). Without further ado, let's jump right into our new theme! In the realm of best practices, it's important to acknowledge that everyone brings their unique experiences to the table. Nevertheless, in this discussion, I'll strive to address critical aspects of migration related to the following items: Comprehensive change management strategy Utilizing a holistic approach to migration Prioritizing data security and compliance Initiating with thorough documentation Conducting sufficient and robust testing Evaluating and optimizing your dataLayer Grasping XDM & JSON proficiency L
In the ever-evolving landscape of data analytics, the agility to adapt and present information clearly and securely is not just an advantage—it's a necessity. As we strive to craft more impactful dashboards, particularly in the critical area of Adobe Real-Time CDP, leveraging the capabilities of database views with in Data Distiller has emerged as a transformative approach. Here's how creating views in your insights data model can offer unparalleled benefits:Simplified Data AccessCrafting a user-friendly experience starts with the complexities of our data models. By creating views, we distill complex relationships into accessible insights. This abstraction layer means that dashboard users can focus on the insights, not the intricacies of SQL joins or table schemas.Tailored Data PerspectivesDifferent stakeholders require different data slices to inform their decisions. Views serve as a bespoke lens, offering customized snapshots of data tailored to the needs of various roles within the
After multiple deadline extensions since Google announced it in 2020 for the first time, Google finally disabled third-party cookies for 1 % of randomly chosen Chrome users globally in Jan. 2024. Google will completely phase out third-party cookies in Chrome browser by the end of 2024. So, it is more relevant than ever to talk about event forwarding. Why should we implement server-side tagging? Before we dive into event forwarding, let’s take a step back to think about why we should use server-side tagging. There are three key benefits of server-side tagging though there might also be other benefits.Data Security & ComplianceWhen you implement a tracking pixel (client-side tagging), you cannot control what data it collects on your website. It will collect the IP address of the end user for sure. Still, it is also possible to collect other sensitive personal information such as email address, first name, last name, or mailing address. However, you can decide what data to s

We are looking at building an integration that pulls requests and incidents from ServiceNow and creates tasks in Workfront. These would be used for Agile planning. The larger goal would be to keep SN and WF in sync. One of the questions is Fusion vs Custom API. Has anyone done something similar that would be willing to meet with us so we can gain some insight or wisdom?

Last week we looked at several CJA Golden Nuggets. This week we'll look at three tips & tricks that can streamline your workflows. Through my work with CJA for multiple clients, watching various webinars, reading blog posts, and studying for my CJA Expert Certification, I’ve seen many different approaches. These are some of the best tips & tricks I've encountered for CJA. I'd love to hear your favorites as well! Add them in the comments below! Modifying multiple component settings When managing components, many settings can be managed for multiple components all at once. For example, a general best practice is using lowercase for dimension values. When lowercase is enabled, values such as Homepage and homepage will be reported together. Without this setting, each version of capitalization will be reported on a unique row. Data view search and settings make it easy to enable the lowercase setting to many components at once. I

I want to share how I created an advanced Goal/Forecasting report. A goal or a forecasting report is a monitoring type report. Creating a combined Forecasting and Goal Progress (or Goal Pacing) report is a valuable way to track your progress towards a specific goal over time and forecast your future progress. Such reports can be a useful tool for monitoring and making data-driven decisions. To have goal tracking, you need a defined goal and a time period in which to achieve that goal. For example, the goal can be a target like the visitor guarantee for a sponsored program, or a traffic goal such as last year's page view count plus 10%. The time period could be a year or some other number of months or weeks. In the following sponsorship example, there is an annual visitor goal, but the monthly goals are different for each month. I will explain what the report shows and then I will explain in detail how you can make the report. This is just an example. There are other metrics and

Ever since I first learned it was possible, one of my favourite type of segments to build is the visit-in-hit segment. I've always been a fan of logic and puzzles, so learning how to build segments and understanding what type of data they return was particularly interesting. I still remember the first time I learned about segments and was told that you put smaller containers inside bigger ones, and to do it the other way would make it invalid. I took that as fact for a very long time. Then one day I had a fallout visualization that I wanted to build a segment from. So I right clicked and selected build segment. Looking at what workspace generated I saw a visit container inside of a hit one. This went against what I had been taught, and it sent me down a rabbit hole of investigation. What I eventually learned was that segments with a bigger container inside a smaller one (like visit-in-hit or visitor-in-visit) does work and provides some very specific insights. I got a chance to
For this week's tech byte, I'm going to talk about the Data Dictionary and the importance of good documentation. If you missed the past weeks, you can check them out here: Tuesday Tech Bytes - Week 2 Tuesday Tech Bytes – Week 1 When building your implementation one of the most important steps is keeping good documentation so that when you (or those that come after you) want to understand what data is being captured, you have a solid reference. In the past this would typically be done in an SDR (solution design reference) external to Adobe. There still are some benefits to having external documentation, but now Adobe has made it possible to keep some of your documentation within the workspace platform using the Data Dictionary. What is the Data Dictionary? The Data Dictionary contains a list of all your components, including your custom metrics and segments. It provides you an opportunity to add a description and tags, as well as “always include” or “always exclude” compon
My client is looking to sync content between AEM environments and there's this requirement to preserve the versions upon syncing. For eg, if syncing from PROD to DEV, it should include all pages along with versions of the page. I have tried content copy tool, but it doesn't seem to copy the versions and additionally the syncing works only from higher to lower environments.Using package manager is another option, I believe. While it seems feasible to include page versions during the package creation, it could significantly increase the package size and there's also a possibility of system overload. The client is on AEM 6.5.16. What would be a practical solution here?
To ensure comprehensive security for AEM users, DUO two-factor authentication has been enabled. However, is it possible to exempt a specific subset of test accounts from this requirement? If such an adjustment is feasible, please provide the necessary instructions to implement this change.
