Adobe Workfront

I'm looking for a way to show within a form attached to a task the different Hour Types that were logged to it. For instance we use Task time and Support Time.  when i pull a Task report i want to know if only Task time, only Support time or if both Task and Support time were logged on that specific Job.Is there a way to do this within a calculated form field?Trying to avoid having to pull an Hours report as that will result in much more data manipulation when exported to do analysis.additionally.. not sure if there is a way to use calculated fields to total the different Hour types within the task show a total of all Support time logged, and total of all Task time logged. thanks!!

Hello, Some users in my organization have reported that they are no longer receiving email reminders to submit their timesheets. Their accounts are linked to a timesheet profile that is configured to send these reminders one day after the timesheet end date. I use the same timesheet profile and receive the reminders as expected.Is there a specific setting (maybe at group level) that might have disabled these notifications for them? To my knowledge, there is no setting as such. I reported this issue to Workfront support a month ago, but they have not identified the root cause.Timesheet profile:Notification settings:

I am trying to add a column to a task view that will display an icon (red flag) if a task cannot be started because it is outside of the task constraint. I cannot figure out how to text mode this into existence so I can reduce my user support tickets of "why isn't this task showing up on my worklist" by about a dozen per week.  Parameters:Display a red flag if all below are true- Task not complete- Task has a fixed start date & time due to task constraint (ie, must start on)- The current date & time is before the fixed start date & time on the task I would also love it if we could have it display a green flag if the opposite is true (task is not restricted by a fixed start date & time) but, would be very happy to have just the red flag.  We are currently using the flag icon for the native "can start" but, this doesn't factor in fixed dates, it's only really helpful for pending predecessors.

For those working with external clients/users that submit requests, what is your approach when it comes to the main Request area? My problem is that I can't remove filters from the main Requests area and the users can still see the names of Requests that have been submitted by anyone with access to the Request Queues that they have View access to. Ideally I would like to get away from creating a separate Request queue for each external user group, since in the end we may be creating a Request Queue for one person and it would make system management impossible (this is the solution that support has given me). I have thought about removing requests once they have been converted, but if a request doesn't get converted quickly enough there is still the possibility they will see it. Everything I have tried has still given them access to the list of Request names.  These external users will need to be Light users at least due to the approval limitations of Contributors. &

For the Q3 release of the new document proofing buttons will that change when using templates and advanced proofing as well?  Also, wondering where does the message that is added when you select changes require go? Who has access to view that? 

I'm trying to create a view or report that can give me a count of the number of issues logged to a task. The only native field available I see is for 'number of open issues'. I don't want to limit the count by status of the issue, I want to count all of them. Can I do this with a calculated field maybe? Thanks in advance!

Hi all,I'm using document approvals but struggling to get a report created that shows the approval status / pending approver. I also need a link that will either open the document (not the document details page) or if not, a link to the folder area. Hi, We have a field called Story Lead that appears on several custom forms. This field pulls from the regular user list to poulate. Can I create a custom field that would pull in JUST the last name of the person indicated as the Story lead? I have tried a variant of this:  {DE:Story Lead}.{name}. SUBSTRING({DE:Story Lead}.{name}, ADD(FIND({DE:Story Lead}.{name}, " ", -1), 1))But it keeps telling me that Name is incorrct in the string. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks,Robin

As I've found throughout my career in managing systems like Workfront, there is knowledge you acquire ahead of time via training and documentation, knowledge that you acquire just-in-time by troubleshooting challenges, and knowledge you acquire and then look back and REALLY wish that someone had taught you that 6 months ago. I will honestly admit that my example was a long-held belief that conditionally formatting a report column could only reference the data within that specific column. I'm /still/ second guessing myself on if/when that changed, or did it always do that and I just never noticed?    Even the most experienced admin occasionally runs into menu options, features or helpful tricks that they wish they'd know earlier in their admin career. We use Workfront timesheets and have holiday calendars defined via schedules.Is there a way to highlight or visually indicate holidays in the timesheet (e.g., greyed-out background, icon, tooltip, etc.)? If not, please let me know if there is any other way.Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone, I've been diving into external lookup fields quite heavily in the last few days. Hoping to bridge the gap in situations that used to require Fusion to implement in a maintainable way. I've unfortunately hit some hard limitations on the feature and I wanted to document them to see if anyone has solved for these items.Yeah so far in external lookups using $$HOST (Data in your Workfront instance) I've ran into the following blockers:1. Muti-select inputs on a lookup preceding another lookup (dependent field) will output a string result (like other multi-selects) instead of an array to which individual selections on subsequent lookups or validators might not evaluate as "True" because of the format. (e.g. trying to match "California" to "California" works, but selecting California and Connecticut outputs "California,Connecticut" which fails validation.)2. Lookup fields cannot be the basis for display logic. This limits their usefulness as a "filter" field in a custom form

CONCAT(YEAR({DE:UKI - Campaign Start Date}), "/",CASE(MONTH({DE:UKI - Campaign Start Date}),"01","02","03","04","05","06","07","08","09","10","11","12"), "/", CASE(DAYOFMONTH({DE:UKI - Campaign Start Date}),"01","02","03","04","05","06","07","08","09","10","11","12","13","14","15","16","17","18","19","20","21","22","23","24","25","26","27","28","29","30","31"))The above is some code I have in place to change the format of a custom date and time field named 'UKI - Campaign Start Date'. The Calculated Date Field is working well but seems to round in the wrong direction when it comes to dates with midnight. A date entered of '28 Aug 2025 00:00' results in a generated date of '2025/08/27'. The dates seem to round down when a time of 00:00 is added. Is there a reason the date would round in either direction based on the code I have added? 

I created an approval process to be used on Issues.  When I assign it to someone, I get an email that the approver approved/denied the request but the person actually assigned to the request doesn't get anything.  Am I missing a notification setting or something else?  How can I get the information that it was approved/denied to the person assigned to the issue?  I also tried just adding a column to the Issues view but can't seem to find the right one that would filter in the response (blank if no response or approved/denied if there is a response).  Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

I would like to suggest a few items regarding AI Assistant for Workfront: 1) can you provide videos and sample prompts to accompany the AI Assistant for Workfront documentation? The documentation is too generic and 2) will you have a best practices session on AI Assistant for Workfront?  Especially around prompts 

I created a New Template and my template durations are not rolling up correctly. I have task constraint set to 'As Soon as Possible'. See attached. I can't figure out why the durations do not roll up to total duration. I have tried everything.

Hello, I have a calculated field on a request form that is giving me a value of N/A and I am not sure why.How this field works it is pulls a number from another calculated field and uses 'ADDWEEKDAYS' to add that number to today's date. When I am filling out the request form, my calculated field that populates a number (which auto-refreshes) while I am choosing different options in the request form. However my date field does not auto-refresh and instead gives me N/A as a result.It is worth mentioning that after submitting the request, the date field populates fine. I am hoping to get a live refresh of that date field, on the request form, as users are filling the info in/before submission. Is it because I am calculating this field off of another calculated field? Is what I am attempting possible? Thank you,Eric
