Since the recent Workfront update, my view for Workload Balancer has changed and there is new "BDG" column (which in my case is showing 0 for every role). Where can I find information on what this number is and how to input values so the data displayed is actually useful to me? Right now, the information I was getting from that view (to see variance between planned and available hours) is no longer showing up.

Hi All, I'm following up on an issue I've been facing. One of the users is currently on an extended leave, and I've been continuously trying to get their responses to move forward. Is there an out-of-office notification option in our Workfront system that can alert users when they're being tagged? That could help manage expectations and keep things moving during their absence. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions on how to best handle this situation. Regards,Vino 

As a Workfront admin and consultant, I've lost count of how many times I've had to explain the intricacies of Task Constraints and how each one behaves in Workfront. Chances are, so have you. Over the years, I've made a few attempts to create a task view that can coach users on which date-related fields they should edit to get predictable results in their task dates.  Those attempts were inevitably not always correct due to the number of variables that can impact task scheduling. Last week I was asked to produce yet another lesson on task scheduling for a new group. I decided one more time to again try making my "dream view." This time, I did not give up. I have a task report where I am trying to capture approvals made by certain teams.   I have the view set to task>approvers, and this displays the info I want.  The issue is when trying to filter on TASK > approvers, there is not that option.    Can I accomplish this with TEXT mode or is there a better field to reference when wanting to filter approvals by team involved?

The Show Allocation button no longer stays selected from session to session or after page refresh like it did in the past. Another in the long list of settings and UI changes that Adobe got wrong for Workfront. Adobe's AI showed me this answer, which is BS:"In recent updates, Workfront has modified how certain UI preferences are stored. The “Show Allocation” button state is now reset to its default (unselected) state when you log out or refresh the page. This change was implemented to ensure consistency across different devices and browsers. To work around this:You’ll need to re-select the “Show Allocation” button each time you log in or refresh the page.Consider bookmarking the page with the allocation view already active, if you frequently use this view."Note, the second suggested work around of Bookmarking or Pinning does not actually save the allocation setting as selected. If the “Show Allocation” button state is needing to be set as a default, then it should defaul

Hello! I have a user that accesses a report to assign work to his design team. The report has several projects and a column where he types starts to type the designer's name, the designer can be selected, and the team can access the report to see what projects they need to work on. Today, he's been unable to type anything for a couple of projects and I can't figure out why. I've added two screenshots, one shows a selected project with a small box in the Approval Assignments column visible where he can type a name. The other screenshot shows a different project highlighted where the box to enter a name isn't visible since he's unable to type anything. Other users, myself included, are not having any issues typing names in that column on any of the projects. Any ideas on what's going on? Thanks! 

I have several projects showing up on my people's task lists as late, but are not scheduled to begin for several weeks. This project is showing up in my "At Risk" report as well. WHY?!?! 

We have a type of project which has a couple of tasks that require extended long days. Is it possible to add a schedule to a task? I have looked if I can add to the template task and it is not obvious, but wondered if anyone has been able to do this?Thanks

In reviewing the Q4 Update documentation, I came across the new look for requests in preview. I can still see the old request page, but there is an option to "Use New Experience." The new requests page removes the option to change the Requests page layout. We have a Requests management report for users to track their requests that is very customized to our workflows. The new Requests page doesn't really meet our workflow needs and will seem confusing to our users.From the documentation, new Requests seems to only be available for unified experience instances after the Q4 update. Our production instance is not on unified experience, but our non-productions instances are on unified experience. We don't have Planning now, but the documentation relates that the Request page change is an attempt to bring Workfront Planning and Workfront Requests together.Will the new Requests page be mandatory at some point? Will the "Use New Experience" option be available to my non-unified experience prod

I'm trying to recover a deleted proof. From what I have read I should be able to recover it from the trash can. However, there is no trash canon the left hand side like all the instructions state. Were was it moved in the latest update? 

I have seen many articles in EL on accessing Proof from the main menu and/or how to go to setting to configure BUT none of that is available and not sure if the documentation is outdated.   How do I add Proof to the main menu?How do I access the setting in WF?As nothing is in the layout template to add and nothing under settings for Proof? ThanksDavid

As implementer or Workfront admin, have might have come across an ask that that you just can't realize in core Workfront. For example, you can't display the Documents of all child projects at the Program level (you see the files attached to the specific program). Sometimes WF Reporting just doesn't offer what you'd need.  Here's a way to leverage Fusion to create an external page that can be accessed in a WF custom dashboard. With this approach you could implement the "impossible" asks. [Apologies in advance: This will feel like web tech from ~2000]  This is not something I invented - and it was the examples I saw from my colleagues at IBM iX that got me thinking. There were a handful of cases where I wanted a tool that pulled data from the Workfront API and presented it to me visually instead of just the raw API output. Hello, I'm trying to figure out how I can delete all of a project folder's content using the Workfront REST API. Currently with endpoint https://SUBDOMAIN/attask/api/v20.0/docfdr/${folderID}?force=trueusing DELETE method, the default behavior is to delete the folder but keep the contents, which get moved to the project/root level. However, I'd like all contents in a folder to be deleted. I was under the impression this is what force=true would do, but it seems not to be the case. Is there a way to do this in the WF API? I've been looking around to no avail. Thanks in advance!
