What to do with old inactive reports...

Avatar

Level 3

Hi all,

Looking for suggestions or experience of what to do with 100's of reports created (and last viewed) in 2018-2019 by users who are no longer in the business.

We're toying with the idea of just deleting them but wondered if anyone had any best practice suggestions before I hit the button.

Thanks

For any reports that haven't been viewed in the past year in our instance, I contact whoever created the report and ask if I can delete them. 99% of the time, they say yes go ahead and delete.

Hi @AndyKent,

Heather’s approach is ideal, but in case you’d like some insurance, I invite you to consider our Workfront Snapshot solution, which you could use back up all of your reports (among other things) first, and then delete those no longer used reports to clean house.

if, later, you discover a deleted report that was of use, you can then use our Packages solution to restore it from your Workfront Snapshot.

Happy to chat further via doug.denhoed@atappstore.com

Doug
