What does the purple check mark box represent in Approvals widget?

What is this purple box with a check mark supposed to represent? It shows up in the "Awaiting My Approvals" widget on the home page as a part of the thumbnail for a proof. Based on an admittedly cursory review, it seems like it's on all the proofs that I'm looking at so I'm not sure what it's supposed to be indicating.

it just means that it is a Proof Approval request. There are different icons for the different types of approvals or requests (e.g. I have an access request for a dashboard right now, and it has a little dashboard icon. My approval request for an issue has a little exclamation mark.)
