Hi All, I've been asked to develop a way to use a user based typeahead field at a task level in a project, and have projects associated with that user typeahead to display a list of those projects on a custom field on a custom form associated with the user's ID (or in this case a custom field that has the user's matching id) on an issue level form. Has anyone ever attempted something like this? Where would be a good place to start? Appreciate all of the insight.

What is the ask trying to accomplish? Not sure I'm following completely so want to back up to see what the objective is and maybe we can come up with a feasible solution.

@Madalyn_Destafney I believe we're trying to build a working report that shows all of the projects a particular user has worked on. Based on their current setup they use issues to track contractors/users which they pull in their data from other platforms. They prefer to store user/contractor data in a contacts database (housing project that uses issues to track data). It's what the client prefers. The idea would be either to use a WF calculation to bring that data and store in a related issue form associated with the user, or use fusion to make the connections.

Maybe I'm oversimplifying this, but seems like this could work - what if you make a task report (and a separate issue report if you assign issues to users) with project name as the first column and any other info you want in the other columns, filtered to what's appropriate. Then add prompts, for example:
Status
Assignment Users Name (instead of assigned to name, which would only pull the first assignee)
Assignment Team Name (if you're using teams that the users may be on)
Actual Completion Date
Then you can search by any user(s) name (and date range, status, etc.) in the prompts and get the projects + other relevant info you decide w/ your columns at any time. I suggest a separate task and issue report instead of an assignment report, because for some reason you cannot use an 'assignment users name' prompt in an assignment report, only task or issue report. Thoughts?
