October 25, 2017 - User group at Edina Realty 5th user group meeting for the Mpls group, we are the longest running user group, and have the largest consistent attendance. Reviewed November release video, room cheer for rich text update. Call for presentations for LEAP 2018. Plug to register early. Future topics of discussion: Resource Management Best Practices User Adoption/Training Scaling instances/Enterprise Periscope: Jameson's presentation 510 users in four offices, global stretch. Managing workflows/process, keeping the sanity when those things start to change. Best Practices: View/Filter built around "Milestones" used to quickly update parent tasks that drive some of the resource discussions and subtasks. Master Templates vs "Choose your own adventure"(CYOA) templates. CYOA - used as an additive to a master or ad hoc. Use the description field to note "inactive" or other details as you manage a larger library of templates. Looking at the "timeline" of the entire campaign. Sharing this slide - specifically for those who are using Workfront for Marketing flows. Calendar based on Milestones across a program, or project depending on use case or need by the client. Shared responsibility of the task that individuals are assigned to, more training needed to create understanding. MediaOcean - new financial tool being used by them to integrate with Workfront, for job roles, rates, timesheets, expenses and client burndown. Easier to use between the Marketing group and the Finance team. Solution for them as an agency. Matt Marks - Banner Engineering; Workfront Reporting Wins Challenges in reporting. 1 - Demo'd replicating a tech request from a legacy system into a Workfront report. Use case based on multiple data points throughout the system. Structured based on text mode coding, end product was three columns with multiple lines of relevant data to provide a single sheet of related items. CODE: "sharecol", USED: HTML coding with and text formatting. Loose the functionality of click to the data point, but not always. 2 - Demo'd organize a large number of competing requests, used stage approval workflow, organize pending approval, system to vet items, collect point for approved items, regularly groom the backlog. Placed into a dashboard to show the approval process to the team responsible for the requests. Utilizing custom form data to move it along each point of the approval process as well. "Front End approvals", "Receiving Team approvals", "Executive approvals" ultimately moving to the backlog (working requests). Using "sequence" code. 3 - Demo'd how to summarize a lot of status information with icons and images for marketing team. Make icons that make sense/matter for the team. Created custom graphics rather than the bullets. Text mode embedding image URLs from documents load from a project where all icons exist.
