I haven't read through Narayan's article so he may have mentioned this, but have you tried adding descriptions on to your queue topics? If you give them a direct link to the specific queue topic, it will not display the description there, but if they were to try and change the queue topic, they would see the description when they hover over the different selections. This could maybe keep steer them back to the correct queue. I have attached a sample of what his looks like.
