Timesheet & Project Status

Avatar

Level 2

We have several users wanting to log time on projects that on in Planning status but the projects/tasks aren't showing up on their timesheets.  Without creating a custom status associated with current or having the users manually add the time, is there a workaround to have Planning status project automatically appear on timesheets?  Thanks!

There is not a way to make them automatically appear. Workarounds:

  • Have them log time at the task level instead of at the timesheet level from the project. Once they log time on the task, it will then appear on their timesheet
  • Create filters for your users to uncover the tasks in a planning project
  • Create a custom status that equates with current - (this would be my least recommended solution since it has implications on the notifications, actual start dates, etc.)
