Parent Tasks Missing Child Task Info?

Avatar

Level 3
Unless I'm losing my mind...and that is a good possibility that I am...
Didn't the Parent tasks under Hours have information from the Child tasks that roll up?

This Parent Tasks has Children Tasks from #12-103

I know I used to be able to click on the Parent Task, go to the Hours Tab and Group by Hour Entry by Week, Month, etc. to pull the info I need.

Something has changed.

I also have a Parent/Task report that is no longer working.

I do have a ticket in for this and the report that is not working.

I don't recall being able to do that in the Hours tab, I thought you'd only see hrs logged directly in that task but now you're making me second guess myself haha. Your report breaking may have to do with the legacy vs. actual hours field?

Here's a recently-updated article that could help you with your report (without knowing the details of your report).
Here's more on the actual hours vs. legacy actual hrs fields.

If this helped you, please mark correct to help others : )

@ElliotLeson Just checking in! Were you able to get this resolved? If you found your own solution, sharing the details would be a big help to others who might face the same issue later on. And if one of the replies here helped, whether it fully solved the problem or simply pointed you in the right direction, marking it as accepted makes it much easier for future readers to find. Thanks again for helping close the loop and contributing to the community!
