on hold project status generates progress status email after an update

A project manager had put a project ON HOLD status. The project planned completion date has already lapsed about 2 weeks ago. She then made an update (comment) on the project today. She received a progress status notification/email that her project is now LATE. The question is - what was the trigger to the notification? I don't think a comment within the project would've pushed that type of notification. Any ideas? Polly Co

Interesting, check the setup ==> email ==> Automatic Reminders, then check Notifications (all tabs) and see if the email was going to be sent anyway, whether she commented or not - due to the timeframe. Let me know - this is puzzling... Benetta Perry APS
