Multiple Workfront instances

Does anyone know if it's possible to work across two different Workfront instances? We're a marketing agency and run all of our projects through Workfront, and give all of our clients have review licenses. One of our clients has now also implemented Workfront and I'm not clear on if/how the two instances could work together. Want to avoid confusing people by expecting them to log out of one Workfront and into another one. Has anyone come across this before? Thanks in advance, Stephanie Stephanie Mulrooney Tomorrow People

One quick solution that we have used is to have a separate browser (google chrome and mozzila firefox) window open for the second instance of workfront. This allows the users to operate the two instances simultaneously. Another option is to use google chromes 'incognito mode'. Rob Lawrence Bond Group

Dear Stephanie, As a Workfront partner involved in multiple implementations, I usually have active accounts in multiple instances at once. The e-mail (username) used to register the person must be unique across all instances. However, the e-mail is case sensitive. So... PersonA@mymail.com counts as a different e-mail to Persona@mymail.com which is different again to PersonA@MyMail.Com Having logged in using a valid e-mail account, they will only see the Workfront instance associated with that e-mail account. They will not be able to see a combined list of projects from both instances. I believe SSO might bypass this (so if the e-mail is used in one Workfront instance, and then that same e-mail is registered for SSO the same e-mail may work twice) but I have not exhaustively tested that. Even so, they will only see one instance's projects at a time. It may be interesting to note that Workfront Proof works differently. In Workfront Proof you are a user in one instance only. Any reference to your e-mail after that makes you a 'member' rather than a user of subsequent instances. But from one instance you can see all proof's you have permission to, regardless of origin. Perhaps it's time for an Idea Exchange request to have Workfront behave like Workfront Proof for multi-instance users. Barry Buchanan Work Management Australia

Stephanie, We currently work in two instances, and have users in both with the same logins. We are able to do this because they are on separate clusters. Our issue is that we want to collaborate/share across these instances which is currently only possible with a 3rd party connector. I've had discussions with Workfront on this topic, and have an entry in the Idea Exchange ("Cross Instance Sharing"). I also had the opportunity to discuss this a their Sales Kick-off last January We want to be able to share and give access rights across these instances, just as easy as sharing within an instance. If you think this would be beneficial to your organization as well, please support this in the Idea Exchange. Dave Randall PMP Atlas Copco Tools

Rob is right, use different browser types simultaneously or use Chrome's incognito mode. That's the only way I've been able to do that. Thanks! Eric
