One of my users asked how their supervisor could be notified when they're added to a project, to which I responded that was built into Workfront's notification settings. However, when looking in the "miscellaneous" notifications for that manager (and all users) I can no longer find any settings related to people on their team. Has anybody else noticed this?

Under the Information about Projects I'm On, there's a notification called 'Project User Add to Project User' (I'm added to a project). That sounds like what you're looking for. Or perhaps 'Project User Add to Resource Owner' (one of my people is added to a project) under Miscellaneous Information. If the user doesn't see these, they may be turned off at a global level, or if they're unlocked for group access, the user's Group just may have it off.

I was looking for it in the user's settings, but it was turned off in the global settings (too many cooks in the kitchen here). Thank you!
