Line breaks in a calculated field

Avatar

Is this possible? I'm using CONCAT to display multiple attributes in a calculated field. I would prefer to separate each attribute with a line break. Have tried actual line breaks within " " but that doesn't work. Ideas, or not possible? William English

I raised this question back in 2018 (almost to the day! - five years has really flown by...)

The same question was raised again in 2022 by another user, and at that time a workaround was identified to enable line breaks in calculated fields.

I'm linking to that newer thread from here for any users who stumbled upon this older post looking for a solution.

The thread explaining a workaround solution can be found here:

Hi William, I've taken a run at this one several times, but so far, have not found a special character that will force a new line within a calculated parameter. My impression is that Workfront (wisely) ignores HTML characters (to avoid client side injection attacks) such as , ,
, etc. and instead renders them as plain text. Same deal with \r\n, and (I'm pretty sure I also tried) special hex escape code. Practically speaking, I usually use | (the vertical pipe symbol) which is allowed, does give a sense of separation, and can be used as a Text-To-Columns delimiter when the data is exported to Excel, such as this: CONCAT(Entry Date,' | ', Note Text) Regards, Doug Doug Den Hoed - AtAppStore Got Skills?
