Is it possible to Sort Groupings Uniquely?

I have a custom "Group" that I created for one my custom views.  My only issue is that I'd like to sort the groupings order or "appearance/listing" in a unique way. 

For example, with no effort today, the group is created against a drop down menu with these values 

New Item

Team Review

Owner Review

Destroyed

Paused

Approved 

I'd like the order of appearance of the grouping to show items 

New
Owner Review
Team Review
Paused
Approved
Destroyed

Is it possible to do this with grouping or is there another way?

The sort ability within Workfront is limited to either ascending or descending order, there is no option today to make a custom sort order...sorry.
