Has anyone configured or set up their timesheet logging process in WF in the best way for Project Managers to log their time to all of the projects they touch as accurately as possible?

If by accurate you mean real hours, in real time, I invite you to consider our Enterprise Stopwatch solution, which PMs could use on an open browser tab (or their SmartPhone) to simply tap and Start/Stop timers on each of the Projects they're working on As It Happens, with the hours saved directly back into Workfront as they do so.

In most cases our templates have a top-level task for the project manger (planner) to log general project hours against.

They can also be assigned to specific tasks to log hours against.
