Does anyone use Announcements?

Hi Community,

I like the idea of sending announcements so that communications are only sent to WF users and not a company list where not all people use WF.

A couple of questions...

  1. If 'everyone' is selected in the send field, does it just go to all people with requestor and higher licences regardless of which company they're in? Would it go to external client requestors?
  2. Does it only send an in-app notification? Many of our users use their emails to click through and don't also want to manage the in-app notification area. My test, only sent in-app so I'm not sure if I did it wrong.

Thanks
Matt

Hi all,

Update to this, the reason we weren't receiving an announcement email is because the option "Set Up > Email > Notifications > Miscellaneous Information > Announcement was added" was not turned on.

This had resolved that problem when tested.

Thanks
Matt

We use them periodically for different things. The one sticking point we've run into is that for some reason, those specific emails get routed to Junk Mail a LOT by Outlook, even when all the ordinary notifications coming from the same email arrive just fine. I finally put together this single slide on how to add the WF email to your allow-list in Outlook.

I believe 'Everyone' is truly everyone, so I'm careful to select only the Groups/Teams etc that I want to receive the message.
