Has anyone else noticed that you now have to click twice to reply to an update? Once on the reply button and again to enter the text box. It wasn't always that way was it? I am an old, head-down typist so half the time I click reply then type into nothing!

I checked with our UX and product team over this area and they think it should have been the one click—like you want. Can you please submit a support ticket so we can have it go through the process to get it logged as a defect? You can even reference this thread if you want!
