Can a Project have tasks that start after the Planned Completion Date?

Currently our mail drop date is the "Planned Completion Date" for the Project. The project Schedule Mode is set for Completion Date, and our custom project template backs us into all the necessary tasks/dates that we need.  However, we have a few tasks that need to take place after this date (process bounce back emails, add print/postage to Project, etc.)

Any one know the best way to do this?

In general, adding a task to complete after the planned completion date will exent the completion date to accomodate the new task. If there is a task in a project that is not complete, then the project isn't complete, right?

If you need a drop date in a project, I would suggest creating a custom field for that.

I understand and agree with your logic. I'm new to Workfront and was just curious if there was something out there that Workfront had already built to accommodate this.

We've been toying with the idea of having a final "Close out" project for these types of tasks.  Will move that way now.  thanks!
