Calculated field to round up daily hours logged on tasks

Avatar

Level 2

We currently run many projects where we invoice to clients via a separate process, outside of Workfront.

All time that is logged against the respective tasks is rounded up to the nearest half-day, to mitigate the various team meetings and impromptu tasks that might occur throughout the day. Is there a way to automate this within Workfront?

Essentially, I'd like to be able to see the actual hours for a task, whereby, on each day, time entered for the particular project is rounded up to the nearest half-day (for us, this being 3.75 or 7.5 hours).

Is there a way this could work?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

The only viable way to achieve this would be with Fusion. You would need to develop a scenario that checks the hours logged against a task/project at the end of each day and then rounds them up appropriately.

There isn't an automated way to achieve this using native Workfront functionality.

Rich.
