Workfront out of office notification

Description - when marking your own PTO in Workfront, at that point to also offer the opportunity to create an out of office notification if you are tagged, messaged or sent requests etc within Workfront - a notification to send to the originator that you are not available to process their ask or make comments etc.

Why is this feature important to you - we encourage all project related comms to be in the relevant projects. If you are not aware of people not being in the office/at work then assumption is that they are there to receive the message.

How would you like the feature to work - as an email out of office notification.

Current Behaviour - if you have not heard from someone after a while, need to investigate if they are working by checking email out of office notifications.

Hi All,

 

Wanted to provide another update here. We are still unable to prioritize this for implementation but this is something we regularly revisit. Unfortunately though, I am still unable to provide an update on when this might be implemented.

FYI - as a workaround - some users have started updating their name in WF to list dates they will be out.

 

So, if my name is "Amanda Jordan" I might update my WF name to be "Amanda Jordan (PTO 11/25-11/29)" or something like that. It has helped people be aware at least if folks are out for longer periods of time.

@Anna_Asatryan I just came across this thread today after someone on my team asked me if this was an option. Is there an update from Adobe regarding the development of the OOO notification?

@Anna_Asatryan and @jon_chen has there been an update to the out of office notification request? We have experienced this a few times where a designer was assigned to a project task by the PM with a certain start & due date. The designer then activated their out of office in WF after the assignment. The result is shifting of dates for that task throwing off the entire project schedule. The PM noticed the dates had changed when reviewing project tasks and alerted me that having an email notification tied to any current WIP projects would be tremendously helpful. This would allow the PM to have a discussion with stakeholders on potential impact this would have on project delivery date.
