As a system Administrator I want to know which reports, dashboards and calendars are used by my users. I want to know how many times those items have been accessed and what was the last time the report, dashboard or calendar has been viewed.
Based on your feedback, we are going to add fields that will help track the report/dashboard usage. The ones we have in mind are Last View Date, Last Viewed By and View Count fields. Please keep posting here your opinions on this, and whether there is any other info you'd like to see for tracking purposes.
Should you like to have a discussion on this, please feel free to book a call with me via Calendly.
Can it NOT be limited by last view date and last view by? The "last" limiter would mean that we're always on the watch which we aren't. It would not give us a view to if the total count is made by the last view by a person alone or there were 50 people using the report. I'd like to know who the report is useful to by knowing all people who have been accessing the reports.
Would also like to add on to Polly Co's comment. The ability to know who has viewed the report and how many times as well as when last viewed would provide greater value.
When you say 'add fields' would this be something we would have to build a report about reports to see? It would be great if it was an option on the report itself like the summary/details toggle that you could flip and see this data.
This will be tremendously helpful. I would like to be able to see this information not just from a total count but also by role and other demographic data to see how well a report or dashboard is meeting the needs of a particular team or group of users. It would also be helpful if Admin logins (Log in as) can be excluded from the count as they distort the numbers.
