Formatting for Custom Forms

It would be helpful to have formatting options available for use in CUSTOM FORMS within the projects such as bullet points, underlines, bold, etc. It would be SUPER helpful to be able to copy and paste text from another source and maintain the formatting. Many times our requestors are providing information from mother sources and are presently losing the formatting that keeps their lengthy information block organized and easy to read.

Yes! It would be very helpful to have formatting options so that we could more easily read the data in the field! Many of my users request this.

Formatting options similar to what was recently rolled out in Updates - bold, italic, underline, adding an external link, bullets... It would only apply to free-text fields.

I would also like the "mailto" function, so that if my text contains an email address, it is clickable. At least if we could do color, bold or underline, I could fake it and make it stand out.

To add to this, it would be very helpful if we could manipulate the layout of a custom field. For example, if more than three radio buttons could be all vertically aligned, or listed below each other, rather than stacked three to a row (see below screenshot).

This comment speaks more to the Custom Forms post-submission...

Currently, reading the information on a completed Custom Form is much harder than it should be. This is a big pain point for when our team members try to sort through the info.

The only thing differentiating the questions from the answers is that the questions are a slightly lighter grey color. THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO CHOOSE HOW CUSTOM FORM DATA IS DISPLAYED.

PLEASE - give us colors, type weight, font size, etc. so that the important information can be easily read.

Yes, Alan! I think you nailed it!!!! Currently, we have something entered there...we want our copywriters to be able to edit the fields directly in the system instead of having to attach a word doc with the copy and changes

Hi everyone who has up-voted for this idea !

The Workfront Product team has good news for you - a decision has been made to include the enhancement in question in the next 12-month roadmap.

It would be very helpful to learn from you more examples of why you strongly need to style custom field values. Please feel fee to provide those examples on this thread.

Kind Regards,

Great news! Echoing my previous comment - please make it easy for anyone reading a completed custom form to distinguish the form questions from the entered content. Color, font weight, spacing - all these things will help tremendously. If those become user-defined settings, even better!

And here's another current pet peeve / request for this welcome update: allow us to use parentheses in the Custom Form fields! It seems like a simple thing, but would go along way to helping us organize/explain in the field queries/instructions.

Thanks again!!
