Ability to set a Task constraint option as default for new tasks created in the projects associated with a group

As is:

The Task Constraint setting of new tasks can only be influenced indirectly using the Start Date setting, as follows:

Based on the Project Planned Date -> "As soon as possible"

Today -> "Start No Earlier Than (today)"

Desired:

For our Group Admins it would be useful to be able to set Task constraint options as default for the new tasks created in the projects associated with their group.

The ask is to have a setting for the "Task Constraint",  in the settings of a Group > Task & Requests Preferences > New Task Defaults section, similar to the "Duration type"

Surprised this isn't already implemented. Our organization has a number of non-titled project managers managing projects and this remains one of the hardest concepts to teach. This is a barrier to adoption for us and has us considering a simpler solution.

Yes, I'd expect to find this in setup with the ability to set it in the Group > Task/Issue Preferences. I'd also expect to be able to change it within the project's Task Settings

For each Project, it would be highly beneficial if one could set a default Task Constraint (i.e. Fixed Dates) as a setting within the Project Details. This way you don't have to manually change each one to the Task Constraint you wish, and will provide a huge efficiency gain for all users. This current inefficiency can be very frustrating, and is really hurting User Enablement.

I would love to see the task constraint NOT change to "Must Start On" when someone enters a date instead of adding to the duration.

Is this something you can take another look at doing since so many people have requested it? It isn't clear when this decision was made, was it in Feb. 2017 or in 2022?
