Add Status Column to Project Templates

It's frustrating that I can't add a Task Status column to Project Templates. Our company relies on status to traffic projects between our creative and account staff. I want to pre-program tasks with certain statuses when the Template is opened into a project. Please make this change in the near future. Thank you.
