Request queues have the potential to solve a big need for us, the problem is you can only add them to a project as an issue. We would like to suggest the ability to add them to a project as a TASK.
Yes! We now have to turn everything single request into a Task as you can't track billable time to an Issue. Allowing new requests to be a Task immediately would eliminate a lot of unnecessary clicking and busy work. Also, it would reduce comments on the issue and the Task if the initial user didn't realize it was already turned into a Task.
As this currently entails a many step process which is hurting adaption from some of our groups. Who also want to leverage the Kanban Agile boards. Since you need to convert issue to Task, then add a custom form - sounds simple and it is BUT very time consuming!
I'm actually somewhat surprised this hasn't received more upvotes... Along with the ability to add a Subtask Template too ;-) Okay I'm going too far I suppose :-)
Is there any update on addressing the ability to set up a request queue so items can be submitted as tasks? Or for issues to have subissues for organizational purposes? Either would cut down on a lot of administrative work in converting items.
