PTO dates to be an object

Description - Would it be possible to make PTO dates an object, so I can create conditional formatting in my custom view if an assigned person will be on PTO during the task this person is assigned to? In our department, we don't recalculate the project based on team members' PTO days. We want to be warned so we make sure the assigned person either completes the task prior to the PTO or PjM will assign a back-up

Why is this feature important to you? -  It will give me, as a Project Manager, much better visibility of tasks that might be at risk due to the team member's absence during the task assignment.

How would you like the feature to work? - I want to be able to create an "if" function for my conditional formatting in my custom view. So that when the system "sees" that the assigned person's PTO dates overlap with the assignment dates, it highlights the person's name (blue font for example)

Current Behavior - No warning if a person is on PTO during the assigned task.
