Add a timer to Timesheets that helps to manually track time spent on a task.

As a new customer, I'm a little surprised / bummed that this isn't a native feature already. Really hoping to see this get added to the roadmap in the future. Our team is used to working with stopwatch timers because the actual hour entries are way more accurate.

Thanks for considering.

This would be great. We switched to WF from other software that had that feature. It really is the only thing I miss about the old software. :)

I used it in another system and miss it. It was a wonderful feature for individuals needing to track time on tasks. You could load your current projects, or the projects you're working on that day, start/stop the timer app and could jump around through multiple projects while the timer recorder your workable time. There's a struggle now with getting users to log time "live" after working on tasks, and capturing the real amount of time it takes for said tasks.

Anyone needing a quick work-around on a Mac might consider using Timer by Apimac:

I have no affiliation but I used this daily myself when I was working in Web QA. I had it attached to a keyboard shortcut (actually a dedicated set of X-Keys buttons) so I could quickly start and stop a main timer, and could spawn extra timers as needed.

We are really trying to find a solution like this but am having trouble. A lot of the integrations outside of WF have some pretty bad reviews. I am hoping we can bump this idea to see if WF is open to implementing.

My team desperately needs this. We are production based and tracking time is highly important within our group to gauge productivity on an individual level as well as product pricing based on time spent to produce.

Our team wants this too. Used to have it in a previous tool, Function Fox, and when migrated over to WF everyone really misses it! I think there are multiple ideas for this. @WF - can we combine into 1 to pool votes?
