Hey there, Workfronters in the Wild!
Huge THANK YOU to all customers who took the time to participate in yesterday's workshop, Learn: Intro to Scrum with Adobe Workfront, hosted by Workfront Product Managers, Natalie Mitchell @NatalieM27 and Patrick Muir @PatrickMu1!
We had loads of engagement and questions in the chat, so we've added some highlights as replies to this post. If you have a specific question that was not addressed, please let us know.
For those who missed the session, you can watch the on-demand recording here and download a copy of the slide deck. (Attached.)
Additional events are being added to the Events page each week, so keep checking regularly to ensure you don't miss out. Here's what is coming up in the next month!
And special thanks to all the customers who asked questions and shared their experiences and recommendations. You are the magic in our events!
First and possibly the most important question – how do I access Boards?
The Boards feature is available to all licenses, but you'll need to have your system administrator make it available on the Main Menu on the user’s Layout Templates. For more info, here’s the article:
Customize the Main Menu using a layout template

Common Question – How do I pull in cards from existing projects? And how to I link the column progress to the tasks progress?
We had several “How to” questions in the chat, and one of my favorite resources are these pages with all of the hyperlinks you need to turn existing projects into Boards. (I have these bookmarked myself.
For our specific questions, we’ve provided the links here:
Bonus tip: For Importing Requests: Consider experimenting with Workstreams. (Also a great feature for your Sprints.) Workstreams allow you to pull in tasks and issues directly from Workfront just like other Boards do using sources and filters. You can also connect cards back to tasks after creating the card.
Here’s more detail:
Bonus Q: When a task's status is updated within a project (e.g. from New to In Progress), the task does not automatically move on the board (from the New column to the In Progress column). Is that expected behavior?
A: It is expected, though we are going to be adding dynamic update functionality that will allow for an option for these to move automatically.

Tips for Scrum Ceremonies?
Many of us have worked in organizations with vastly different approaches to Agile, so the only “rule” is to find what works best for your collaborative teams.
Daily Stand-ups: Keep them short and consistent, with only the Scrum team sharing. Tip shared:
Planning Meetings: Typically, the longest, most intensive ceremony.
Reviews/Retrospectives: Just a great idea to implement for all types of projects and collaborative teams, not just Agile teams. And the Retrospective Board template is an easy way to get started with Workfront Boards as well as to implement Scrum ceremonies into your current processes. The key is to create an environment of psychological safety.
