Re: Creating filters with High-cardinality values Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
I've figured it out. I kept the request the same but just shuffled things around. No idea what difference it makes but the segment worked. See below:Thanks!

Re: Daily Visitors different based on date range Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hey There,I think i've figured it out. when I removed my visitor-level segment, the Unique Visitor count by day was consistent, regardless of the date range i set. I think that the segment I was using created a visitor cohort that changed based on the specific set of days that I had created. The Visitor would only need to fulfill the criteria in my visitor-level segment within that time period, and they would be included in my report...that would explain why the # of visitors each day varies bas...

Daily Visitors different based on date range Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hey Guys,Running some daily Unique Visitor reports in Adhoc when i noticed something interesting—visitors per day seem to vary based on the date range selected. I believe I generally know how a unique visitor is defined, but I'm not sure what's going on here. Are the visitors that I'm seeing already deduplicated based on the totals? Is there any way to disable the deduplication? Ultimately the report I want should essentially be the same as pulling unique visitor reports one day at a time...Sorr...

Re: Creating filters with High-cardinality values Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hey Hyder,I know it's been almost a month since your reply, but I've finally gotten to this task and managed to get the API explorer working. I've created a few test segments, but I am finding that this method also does not work when the data set i am filtering against is very large. For example, I currently have about 8,000 unique values (encrypted customer ID's) that i'd like to filter against, and the error that I am receiving looks like this.I can't imagine the reason being anything other th...

Metric based segmentation (within segment builder) Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hello Analytics community,I am wondering if there is a way to segment based off of the value being shown in a particular metric. I'd like to build it in segment builder and layer over a lot of my existing reports. Heres what i mean:I want to create a segment of visitors that have viewed XYZ page—simple enough, just create a segment using the "Pages" dimension and filter for the specific page. Using Visitor Scope. However, what if you only want visitors who have viewed a certain page a certain num...

Re: Creating filters with High-cardinality values Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hi Hyder,The variable is a custom Evar that is essentially a "customer ID" within our own customer database.Unfrotunately there wouldn't be a way for me to run a query that filters for these ID's specifically within workspace. There are probably over 3.5M+ total ID's that exist, and i cant think of any common behaviourial characteristic that will allow me to pinpoint these 500 ID's specifically. Not sure what you mean by API unfortunately, could you elaborate on that? Would there be a seperate ap...

Re: Creating filters with High-cardinality values Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hey Hyder,Thanks for your reply. I don't think report builder would work for my requirements—let me try to explain it better.Let's say that I have 500 unique customer ID's that look like this XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, with several different alphanumeric characters that are completely randomized with no patterns. There is no way for a regular expression to cover all of the values. Is there a way to bulk upload these values, or to somehow create a filter/segment by pasting in all of these values at once...

Creating filters with High-cardinality values Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hello everyone,I don't believe this is possible, but wanted to ask before I gave up .Is there a way to create a filter/segment within the Adobe Analytics reporting suite that allows you to filter by a specific set of values, but one that is potentially very large, and with a very high level of cardinality. For example, say I have a list of 500 ID's thatt I want to create a filter/segment for, but I do not want to manually paste in each ID, line by line, to create my segment. Due to the nature of...

Page URL as a dimension Mcsyang-5k3qAe - Adobe Analytics
Hello Everyone,I am wondering if there is a quick way to find out the URL of a particular page name, beyond actually clicking on the page name and "opening the page in a new window". Preferably, it would be a report with Page URL as a dimension tha tbehaves in the ame way as "Page Name". If Page name is a standard dimension, the URL of the page should be as well right? Is there additional implementation required? Can this be done in Adhoc?Note that I do not need any page query string information...
