Hey Guys,
Running some daily Unique Visitor reports in Adhoc when i noticed something interesting—visitors per day seem to vary based on the date range selected. I believe I generally know how a unique visitor is defined, but I'm not sure what's going on here. Are the visitors that I'm seeing already deduplicated based on the totals? Is there any way to disable the deduplication? Ultimately the report I want should essentially be the same as pulling unique visitor reports one day at a time...
Sorry for the low-level question!
thanks,
Mike

Hey There,
I think i've figured it out. when I removed my visitor-level segment, the Unique Visitor count by day was consistent, regardless of the date range i set. I think that the segment I was using created a visitor cohort that changed based on the specific set of days that I had created. The Visitor would only need to fulfill the criteria in my visitor-level segment within that time period, and they would be included in my report...that would explain why the # of visitors each day varies based on different time periods.
Hope i'm making sense! heh...

can you send a screenshot with the problem? i would expect that unique visitors vary for different time ranges - it's hard to figure out what you mean and what you expect ...
