Hi Everybody,I've been looking for the complete documentation of the xfa-object inside the LC Designer, respectively the xfa.log object.The code completion offers that particular object to log messages to the designers "Log" tab. I managed to log a messages using the xfa.log.message() method which takes two parameter (int, String) but I can't find the API-Docs for this and the other methods (trace(), traceEnabled(), traceActivate(), traceDeactivate()).Another point is that the message() method j...

Hi Mike,I think we have the exact same problem.As far as I could interpret the stacktrace, the problem occurs when LC is trying to deserialize the variables of an long-lived process. So do you have a long-lived or a short-lived process?We've put the part with the custom object into an short-lived subprocess to work around that problem.But the core problem still exists - How can you make the LC classloader to find your custom object?kind regardsMichael

Hi Everybody,I'm wondering how to retrieve the content of a particular space. There is no activity/operation for that purpose.I analyzed the ContentService in Detail and found out, that there is a non-orchestrateable getSpaceContents() method. I've modified the component.xml to make this method public and installed the new component. Unfortunately the method always returns an empty list.So how what can I do, to get a list files inside a given space.kind regardsMichael

Hi there,I've tried to use the Alfresco OpenOffice.org plug-in with ContentSpace. Unfortunately it doesn't work. It seems that Adobe LiveCycle uses an other way of authentication. The variable ${session.token} contains an XML structure instead of a String. I've tried to patch the according web-script but the variable contains line breaks which invalidate the javascript code.Is there a way or an other plug-in for OpenOffice.org and ContentSpace.kind regardsMichael

All the other file types finish in a few seconds.@Scott: Since the documents are email attachments the content type of the PDF is application/octet-stream but I can use the extension .pdf to determine. So how can I convert an existing PDF into an other PDF version? The createPDF operation of the former 8.0 versi...

After some research I found out, that Alfresco uses the workflow console to manage these workflows. Hi Everybody,we've recently installed the latest "LiveCycle ES update 1 Turnkey" on a Windows 2003 server with 4GB RAM.Unfortunately we get an "OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" exceptions after a short period of time after starting the server (depending on the load).We've increased the max head size (-Xmx1280m) and the TransactionTimeout attribute (jboss-service.xml) from 300 to 450. Hi Paul,thanks for your quick answer.The page number is always -1 and x is "0in". I think the positioning will be done after generating the table rows and cell. The conditional breaks code is called before the layout ready events.Maybe I should mention, that there is no user interaction. We have the PDF template and XML data. The render PDF operation creates the final document.I've just tested it with PreviewPDF. I'm going to test it with a real process.thanks in advanceMichael

After some research and trial and error I have found out how LC maps its string variables to MySQL datatypes.* 1 <= n <= 255 ==> varchar(n) [ 2^8 - 1]* 256 <= n <= 65.535 ==> text [2^16 - 1]* 65536 <= n <= 4.294.967.295 ==> longtext [2^32 - 1]Note: If you reduce the length of a string, the data type will not be changed.

I've tried to use the XPath method getDocAttribute("filename") to get the original name of an attachment (receive mail action) without success.I've also tried "name" and "file" but it didn't work either.Finally I found out, that content-type (getContentType()) contains the filename too (e.g.: 'application/pdf;name="file.pdf"').I found nothing about that issue in the manuals.Does anybody know if that behavior is a bug or if the documentation is not up-to-date.kind regardsMichael
