Hi Kevin -  For Event Notifications you can update the subject line of the email under Setup -> Email -> Notifications, but not the body of the email.

Thanks, I was searching for Task/Project and not Object. Can confirm that it is 255 is the limit. I did a test, and it errored out at 255.
