One idea that I believe would help is showing the task status. This would assist the traffic/resource manager when they are in this view to know if the task has started. Which may also assist in knowing that a predecessor/pending task has been completed. .

Great idea, to add on this, If a task is completed early, the date should shift and be updated in both the scheduling tool and the project schedule. This would provide real time and up to date info. Also this would assist with accurately scheduling resources.
