Ability to hide fields on Project Settings Screen

Based on a particular template, we'd like to show or hide particular fields from the user on the Project Settings Screen to make it easier for them to populate just the fields they need to fill out. Since we have created the template with certain settings defaulted, the user doesn't need to address those fields, so why have them scroll past them all. Project Settings could be a layout template?

Agree with being able to hide or edit fields that Workfront has on the project intake form.

Agree!! This makes it very clunky for entering projects. We have to indicate to project managers a number of fields for them to skip. It would be nice to control this via a template also. Where you can at least minimize and hide some of these!!

I concur with what Jennifer stated above. This is also a High Ask from my executive team... It would be great to see action on this even with less than 45 votes!

I agree. Some people do not need to see everything and it can cause confusion.

I agree with Jennifer and Elliot's statements above. Considering this is a common request during implementation, I'm surprised this hasn't reached the threshold of 45 votes prompting action.

Agreed, it would be great to pick and choose which system fields we want to utilize.

This has been mentioned by the project managers in my group as well.

Another upvote for me; it's a headache that so many of the built-in fields we don't use, but the user has to scroll by them and we have to admonish them "just ignore this" or "don't touch these or you'll really mess things up."

Thank you all for the feedback on this request.

In the frames of the New Workfront Experience we are going to allow administrators to configure the fields users see on the project details page through layout templates. You should be able to test the functionality out very soon. Additional updates through announcement center will be provided.

Thank you for your patience.

Kind regards,

Anna Asatryan,

Product Manager, Workfront
