Re: How do I get the task level calculated field information in a project level calculated field? - Workfront 16-09-2022
Hi Pravin - You can accomplish this in a project report IF the name of the task will remain unchanged, or if you happen to have it tagged as a milestone. For example: column.17.displayname=column.17.listdelimiter=column.17.listmethod=nested(tasks).listscolumn.17.sharecol=truecolumn.17.textmode=truecolumn.17.type=iteratecolumn.17.valueexpression=IF(CONTAINS("TASK ABC",UPPER({name})),{duration})column.17.valueformat=HTML Example using a milestone id: IF({milestoneID}="5b27d511002cd8db965c9de0a5223...

Re: Filtering/customizing 1 column in a report - Workfront 16-09-2022
Hi Justin - You can do this with a valueexpression in the column like this. displayname=Hours by Job Role listdelimiter= listmethod=nested(hours).lists textmode=true type=iterate valueexpression=CONCAT({assignedTo}.{name}," (",{role}.{name},") - ",{workRequired}/60,IF({workRequired}/60>ABS(1)," Hours"," Hour")) valueformat=HTML This may not be exactly correct depending on what 'type' of report you're creating. Hope this helps, Teale

Re: Adding a column rule based off another column - Workfront 16-09-2022
Hi Justin - You can accomplish this by comparing the two fields using text mode code. The easiest way to explain it is to add the fields to the report, then use the Advanced Options to create the condition, i.e., Red when 'greater than' plannedCompletionDate...Of course, you won't be able to pull the field name "plannedCompletionDate" into the advanced options field. So... Save it, then switch to textmode. There are two things to notice... leftmethod and lefttext lines... You'll notice you only ...

Re: Is there a way to add custom forms when a task is created or added to a project? - Workfront 27-05-2022
Hi Daniela, Yes, you can add the form to the task in the template and it will apply to all projects when they're created. If you need to add it to the individual task on existing projects, just run a task report where the name contains "task name" and you can bulk edit to add the form. Hope this helps,Teale

Improve visibility of fields added to Home and Summary via the Layout Template - Workfront 25-03-2022
Currently we can add fields to the Home and Summary tab via the layout template, however, those fields are only visible to the person assigned to the object. In general when a customization is added to a layout template everyone with that layout template can see the customizations and I don't believe this particular functionality should be any different.Make addition or removal of fields on Home and Summary visible to everyone not just the person assigned to the object.

Re: HTML isn't actually returning HTML - Workfront 07-03-2022
Try adding this text mode code and see if it renders linkedname=html({lastNote}.{noteText})link.url=({lastNote}.{noteText}) I don't know if it will work because I've only ever pointed mine to a custom field but give it a shot. Good luck!

Re: HTML isn't actually returning HTML - Workfront 07-03-2022
@Lila Whitney‚ It looks like you want to create a link but you haven't indicated where the URL is for that link. Do you have a field that is generating the URL or what are you expecting the URL to point to?

Re: Can we create an approval process for Request or possible to add in a request? So, the request follows stages in request handling? - Workfront 22-02-2022
Hi Kundan, You're question leaves me with a few questions for you... First, are you referring to a 'request' as something that has been submitted via the Requests tab on the Issue object or are you referring to the Request status associated with a project? If you're referring to the request intake, you can associate an Issue level approval workflow to the Queue Topic. If you're referring to the Request status, then you'd associate a project level approval workflow on the project that is triggere...

Re: Embedding a Project's URL field value behind descriptive text in a task-level report - Workfront 31-01-2022
Hi Jessica, I'm not sure about all of the comparison things you have going on in your textmode but here's a simple version of overlaying text on an existing URL... displayname=FIELD NAMElink.url=customDataLabelsAsString(project:URL)link.isnewwindow=truelinkname=directnamekey=nametextmode=trueusewidths=truevalueexpression=STRING("View Final Creative")valuefield=project:URLvalueformat=customDataLabelsAsStringwidth=100 Hope this helps and let me know if it works for you. Best - Teale

Re: Create a Lessons Learned Section - should be setup/function like "issues" does - Workfront 20-09-2021
I agree, this should be a separate module of some kind where lessons learned can be logged. Unfortunately, using the Issue object as a workaround backfires when the PM tries to close the project as they remain open. My only suggestion to the user is to move all open lessons learned to its own project where they can remain for eternity but not an elegant solution.
