How do I format multiple lines in the cMsg: field in email mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Hello,I'd like to have a multiple line message in the body of the email. I can get the text to be included, but all in one line. How do I get the lines to be separated into several separate lines? Everything except the formatting of the message works fine. Here is my script, that isn't working: app.mailMsg({ bUI: false, cTo: "", cCc: "includedaccounting@fheg.follett.com;", cSubject: "True up Complete" + " " + page1.storeInfo.arMajor.rawValue + " " + pages1_3.page1.storeInfo.storeNum.rawValue, cM...

Re: Trouble with a nested list of radio button options mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
To perhaps to help others needing a solution, I'm sharing my fix. I fixed this problem by changing from radio button lists to drop down lists. The second drop down list is populated by the first drop down list. Then for the third level, I kept the radio button lists. For some reason, using the switch/case scripting, I was able to allow the user to go back to the first drop down and change their selection and get all radio button lists to be hidden. Here is the script I used:Drop Down List 1switc...

Trouble with a nested list of radio button options mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Hello,I'm having trouble with a nested list of radio button options on an order form where the customer picks a "narrowing" list of descriptive options. I'm thinking from research that this needs an array to solve the problem I'm having. However, I'm new to setting up and using an array, so could use some help. Here goes!List 1There is a four option radio button list1.When an option is chosen from List 1, another list is displayed--a different one for each option from List 1.So these are lists 2...

Re: Hide the drop down list arrow once the field is filled mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Well, I'm making progress based on your last email. I moved the script to the change event and it works perfectly. Now, I'm not sure how to get the ability to reshow the drop down arrow if the user re-enters field.I kept the script in the enter event. The numbers are actually the displayed value, not the rawValue. so that's working ok.Thanks again for all your help.MDawn

Re: Hide the drop down list arrow once the field is filled mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Here is the script I put on the Exit event of the drop down list. Nothing is happening. I don't get any error messages either. form1.#pageSet[0].Page1.deptList::exit - (JavaScript, client)if(xfa.event.newText == "3") {deptList.access="readOnly";}if(xfa.event.newText == "5") {deptList.access="readOnly";} if(xfa.event.newText == "7") {deptList.access="readOnly";} if(xfa.event.newText == "8") {deptList.access="readOnly";}The numbers are the values, not the rawValue.Thanks for your help.MDawn

Insert an Excel spreadsheet in a form mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Is there a way to let users insert an Excel spreadsheet in a form and maintain the columns and rows? Would I use a text field or text box? They do not need to be able to edit once it's "pasted" into the form. Thanks,MDawn

Hide the drop down list arrow once the field is filled mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
I am creating a form that ultimately becomes a published page of directions. After the user selects an item in the drop down list, is there a way to make the arrow hidden. It would need to be redisplayed if the user click in the field again. Thanks,MDawn

Re: Exception error on Button2 click event mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
I could not get your answer to work. So, since I'm short on time, I changed the Value in the radio button list to the Place order and Quote values and used the rawValue expression and it works the way I need it to.Thanks for all your help. I'm still not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I did get it to work the way I need (which today is a success for me!)Thanks,MDawn

Re: Exception error on Button2 click event mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
In the Binding tab, I would like the "Item" value to display, rather than the "Value" value. I thought I remembered doing this before using formatted.Value but it's been awhile and I've forgotten, apparently! Thanks,MDawn

Thanks for your response. orderQuote is a radio button group of two buttons. They've been assigned numbers 1 and 2 and formatted values "Place order" and "Quote."Also, I'll try your suggestion. Thanks,MDawn

Re: Exception error on Button2 click event mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Interestingly, it works if I remove this:+ form1.page1.firstlinePosit.orderQuote.formattedValue +from the Subject line. The path is accurate. Am I used formattedValue incorrectly? Thanks,MDawn

Problem placing a positioned subform on a flowed page mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
On page 2 of my form, the page is set to flowed. I have one subform which contains a Save button that I would like to position at the bottom margin of the page. However, I can't get the subform and button to move to the position where I want it. If I select just the button, then I can position using the Y coordinate. That then leaves the subform height too big. When I select the subform, X and Y coordinates are grayed out. Thanks,MDawn

Inserting a subform seems to be working differently mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Hello,Previously, when I selected objects on my form and clicked the subform object in the Object Library, it was inserted automatically around the selected objects in the form. Now, I select the objects and click on Subform in the Library and It doesn't automatically created the subform, I have to draw the subform. Having I unknowingly changes properties or something? Is there some way to get the previous functionality back? Thanks,MDawn

Re: Form won't open in Acrobat X Pro, XI Pro or Reader XI mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
I broke the big form into smaller forms based on sections. I had one section that was hanging when I tried to Preview PDF. I deleted the last page where I had had problems with a table which had caused the system to hang indefinitely and I had to End Program using Task Manager. That solved the problem. Not too much data on that page. I'll try recreating and see what happens.Again, mouslander, thanks for your help.MDawn

Re: Form won't open in Acrobat X Pro, XI Pro or Reader XI mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
I built the document from scratch. The file size of the original document that isn’t working properly is 698 KB. The document where I deleted 20 some pages is 642 KB. I’ve decided to work and publish several smaller files and the business owner of this project agrees with this solution.

Re: Form won't open in Acrobat X Pro, XI Pro or Reader XI mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
Thanks for your quick response. There is no error message displayed. The round circle spins and the pdf never opens. It also happens in the Preview PDF tab within LiveCycle. I resaved the form and deleted a number of pages and the smaller version works fine. Can an interactive form be too large? Could that be my problem?I was working on page 20 of 25 pages and I had to End the Program to get out of trying to Preview the form. I'm wondering if something was corrupted. Thanks,MDawn

I am creating a lengthy for which is now 25 pages. I can work on the form in LiveCycle Designer ES3. However, we cannot open the form in Acrobat X Pro, XI Pro or Reader XI. Any thoughts on why this could be happening? Are there things I can look for in LiveCycle to fix this issue? Thanks,MDawn

Can't hide cells in a table mdawn50 - Adobe LiveCycle
I am using a table to design the questions and answers on my form.I have a row with four cells and I'd like to have cell 1 be a question to answer with Yes/No radio buttons in cell 2. Then I would like to have cells 3 and 4 be another question and answer fields depending on how the radio buttons are selected. If the answer to the first question is Yes, then the content of cells 3 and 4 should be made visible.I've gotten this to work previously, however, in this table, the Hide (exclude from layo...
