  • Thanks for your rant. I feel exactly the same way, like 50% of the time when creating forms. I usually enliven my rants with curse words and flying objects, so I can't reproduce them in this forum and I am happy you finally vented for me.

  • I just noticed that the problem seems to have something to do with the LATTAKS checkbox on page 2 and its associated LATNote subform, which I added recently.  It seems as though either the LATTAKS checkbox will work, or the other checkboxes on page 3 will work, but if the checkbox on page 2 is "on" ...

  • On  page 3 of this form are a series of checkboxes and their associated subforms. When the checkbox is "on" the subforms appear. When viewing the form in the PDF preview, everything works as it should; however, when I bring up the the PDF form outside of Designer, the subforms do not appear as they ...

  • Well, yes, that helped a lot.You gave me the low-down, "enabling for dummies" version, which is just what I need. The attachement is particularly informative. Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me.Regards,Jenny

  • I know Adobe Reader tells us that we cannot save information typed into a form, but I want to do that anyway. You guys are smart, so I am betting you know a clever way to circumvent this "no saving" obstacle.  BTW, my end users are public school teachers, so they will only be using the free Adobe Re...

  • Hi Farah,I brought up your form and your are correct--your script does look fine!  I have to run out to a long meeting and will not be able to poke around the form to find out what is going on, so my suggestion at this point is to post your question to the discussion board. I think that if you just ...

  • Hmm. Well, I hadn't considered the "to email" option, and don't know that I know exactly what that is.  I will check it out and the script. Thanks a lot for your attention and help!

  • Thanks Diego,I have read about using a custom default submit button, but I don't think that will work for my purposes unless, that is, I am missing something in your response.  I cannot anticipate who my end users will want to email their forms to so I wouldn't know which address to list in the URL ...

  • You are very welcome!  I learn a lot from these forums. Another good resource is J.P. Terry's book, Creating Dynamic Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer, which I think is published by Adobe.  Good luck!Warmest regards,Jennifer

  • Hi Farah,Just temporarily change the visibility settings from "hidden" to "visible". First, in the hierarchy palette, click on the hidden subform you want to see, then move over to the right and in the object palette, change the visibility setting to visible. If two or more of the subforms are visib...
