6.5 has online compaction which runs every night and full compaction which runs once a week. Is there any specific reason you are running compaction during backup?

I checked with Engineering team and "uber-jar-6.5.5-sources.jar" was never made public. So, not sure how you got it but it was never supposed to be available to customers as its Adobe's code. API and javadoc jar is your best option

Hi, I don't believe Adobe shares a file named "uber-jar-6.5.5-sources.jar". I could not find it under the public repo[1] Also, user manager API details can be found at [2]. Is there anything specific you are looking for? [1] https://repo.adobe.com/nexus/content/repositories/releases/com/adobe/aem/uber-jar/6.5.5/ [2] https://jackrabbit.apache.org/api/2.12/org/apache/jackrabbit/api/security/user/UserManager.html

I don't believe sightly supports this, you can use js OR java code(Sling Model) to do this: Some steps copied from a similar post: 1. Your class adaptable from SlingHttpServletRequest2 Add the following inject @injectprivate Page currentPage;3: check path contains editor.html currentPage.path.contains("editor.html") [1] http://www.aemcq5tutorials.com/tutorials/adobe-aem-cq5-tutorials/sling-model-sightly-aem/

IMS configs are mapped to a particular AEM instance and cannot be shared amongst instances. You will have to recreate the config on other instaces.

You can also look into Granite show/hide functionality that allows show/hide of content based on properties: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/developing/components/hide-conditions.html?lang=en#overview

- Create a new namespace and use that to create custom properties to map to these new fields- Edit the OOTB metadata schema to add these properties to the schema- Apply the metadata schema to a particular folder where you would need these new properties- Now, when you do a metadata import, the properties will be automatically mapped to the assets. Just make sure the name of the properties in the import step matches what you created in step 1 See [1] for more details [1] https://experienceleague....

- Check if the livecopy has proper relationship to the master- Go to crxde and check if "cq:LiveRelationship" mixin is added to the livecopy and cq:LiveSyncConfig node is present at the root and mapped to the correct master- Lastly, try to create a new livecopy and see if you can reproduce the same issue

The only way to reduce the repo size will be to run compaction. See [1] for more options on logging and improving performance. Also, Install the latest Oak CFP before triggering it again. The last option will be to start a new 6.5/6.4 instance and move the content via crx2oak Or using packages. Apply the latest hotfix and use the Adobe recommended security configs: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/administering/security/security-checklist.html?lang=en#security Lastly, AEM 6.2 has been out of support for a long time and the best option will be to move to 6.5 Or AEM Cloud.

I just tested it on 6.5.5 and works with all orientations(Center,Top Right etc). Make sure you are placing the watermarking step before Process Thumbnail step. Try adding a DEBUG logger on "com.day.cq.dam.core.process.WaterMarkProcess" or more details

This is expected and by default, there is a logger to exclude these kind of warnings from error.log. See below: If similar logger does not exist under /system/console/slinglog. Go ahead and create one and make sure the log level is set to ERROR so that these warnings are not shown in error.log

I believe you are on the right path. Rollout configs consist of various actions like "contentCopy" , "editProperties" etc. You can create a new rollout config based on the OOTB one and then add/remove the actions you want to perform as part of that rollout config. Lastly, apply that rollout config to the site to make sure it's getting used in the rollout process.

Might be something to do with redirects. Check if you have anything under /etc/map Also, use JCR Resolver(/system/console/servletresolver) to check the path and Servlet resolver(/system/console/servletresolver) to check which servlet will be serving this path.

Can you check if the dispatcher is blocking this URL on the publish tier? If that's, not the case, try rebuilding clientlibs to clear the cache. [1] https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/How-to-force-a-recompilation-of-all-Sling-scripts-jsps-java-sightly-on-AEM-6-4.html

If you want to use third-party monitoring apps, I would recommend either using New Relic Or App Dynamics. I have worked with both and very easy to install. If you have a valid AEM license, you can download the jar file from "https://downloads.experiencecloud.adobe.com/" For users, you could set a boolean property named "external" under the user's profile node(/home/users/****/profile)and map it to SAML property or set is using custom code.

If you are trying to automate it, you can simply use the lock/unlock processes as part of a workflow. That way the same system user will lock and unlock the node.

If you are looking for specific permissions, its "jcr:lockManagement" and you can add it from crxde "Access Control" tab Or from the new user management console if using 6.5. See below for more details:

Go under crx-quickstart/install directory and you should see "org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.blob.datastore.FileDataStore.config". That config file should have the path to datastore. By default, datastore is under crx-quickstart/repository but thats not the case here and it seems to be somewhere outside of AEM installtion
