try putting the code in the exit event of the drop-down list, and the code should be something like:if (this.rawValue == 1) {subform1.presence = "visible";}else {subform1.presence = "hidden";}

The code for something like this would be, in formcalc, in the preOpen event of the second box:if (dropdownlist1 == 1) then$.clearItems()$.setItems("Blue,Yellow,Green")elseif (dropdownlist1 == 2) then$.clearItems()$.setItems("Red,Yellow,Green")endifand then you would do the same for the third one referencing the second one. Just make sure in the boxes you have "specify item values' ticked under Object > Binding.

In the Object > Pagination box just make sure the 'Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages' box is ticked. That should fix it.

there are several ways of doing this, but I just wanted to clarify - you say you are using checkboxes rather than radio buttons, so does that mean more than one can be checked and so multiple addresses are used? If not and only one can be selected you should change to radio buttons and then put in the exit event of the radio button group, in formcalc:if ($ == 1) thentextbox1 = "address 1......"textbox2 = "address 1......"elseif ($ == 2) thentextbox1 = "address 2......"textbox2 = "address 2.........

You have the syntax slightly wrong. In formcalc the instance manager should be:nameOfTheThingYouAreAdding.instanceManager.addInstance()You don't need all the action builder stuff. MTremblay-Savard is correct on the count.

Well you are missing the " around the text in your messagebox but even then it doesn't seem to work. I am not a javascript expert so am not sure why but it works in formcalc like this:if(Len($) > 😎 then xfa.host.messageBox("Enter eight digits for the date in the format YYYYMMDD or use the drop down calendar.") xfa.host.setFocus("$")endif

well you need to use " rather than ' for the presence = "hidden" line but if that isn't the issue try putting the code in a different event. What is the actual code for the condition where the page should be hidden?

it is because you are using || which means 'or' for all the conditions so when the first condition is met (null) it doesn't even look at the last one (if the box is checked). You need to use && ('and') for the last condition to make it mandatory in the if statement.

There are 2 ways you could do this. The first is just to have 3 seperate dropdown boxes for the second box and have them all hidden. The exit event of the first dropdown would then have code that would make the appropriate second box become visible, something like (in formcalc):if ($ == 1) thendropdownRed.presence = "visible"dropdownBlue.presence = "hidden"dropdownYellow.presence = "hidden"elseif ($ == 2) thendropdownRed.presence = "hidden"dropdownBlue.presence = "visible"dropdownYellow.presence...

There may be a better way but when I need to position things in a flowed form I use rectangles set with no border so they are invisible and put them where I need spaces.

In the prePrint event of the textboxes put (in formcalc):$.minH = "1"(change the 1 to whatever your height was for those boxes)The minH as opposed to just h means it will expand.

You can enter the code in the script editor. If you don't have it showing you can get it by pressing (on a PC) Ctrl+Shift+F5.

you could just have the page there but set to hidden and then when the checkbox is checked it is set to visible. You could put something like this in the change event of the checkbox (in formcalc):if ($ == 1) thenotherpage.presence = "visible"else otherpage.presence = "hidden"endif

Are you using Livecycle Designer? If so you will be able to add an event in the design view rather than doing everything through xml. You can get the script editor up by pressing ctrl + shift + f5 on a PC and then put the script in there.

you have put your script in the click event so the presence state won't be effected until the button is pressed. Try putting your script into the 'layoutReady' event or starting off with the presence set to hidden and then it will only become visible when the button is clicked.

well you are missing ".presence" after Guideline_Choices but I think the problem is you have the code in the wrong event. Try putting it in the exit event of Guideline_Choices and it should look like this:if ($ == "Fences") thenFences.presence = "visible"Roofs.presence = "hidden"$.presence = "hidden"elseif ($ == "Roofs") thenRoofs.presence = "visible"Fences.presence = "hidden"$.presence = "hidden"endif

The logic of formcalc is similar to visual basic. The help files that come with LiveCycle are very good for syntax.

Your calculate script in formcalc could be:if (fieldC == 1) then$ = fieldA*fieldB*4elseif (fieldC == 2) then$ = fieldA*fieldB*8endifjust make sure you have "Specify Item Values" checked for your radio buttons under Object > Binding. Also at the moment it will show '0' if none of the buttons are checked so you could put in an 'else' condition if you want it to show something else.
