Round expression has 2 arguments: number itself & number of decimal places,e.g. it works pretty well, although I vaguely recall I had some issues with rounding in the past that I don't remember clearly  

@RobertDo2 at least for custom drop down fields you can do that, after opening dropdown just hit backspace key

I don't think so, since the same principle applies as previously noted by Katherine. Depending on the user pool you're dealing with, you may simply ask users to populate pre-defined custom field with skills
