I back this up 100x search should also be more flexible with special characters. I have a user with name Dániel this is impossible to find in Log in As as well as in quick search in top right corner

I would report that as a bug to support.This hasn't been announced as functionality being removed with latest UI modifications, therefore it's a bug and should be restored. Same as it was with "show filters" button which was missing after update and was re-added later on

@RobertDo2 at least for custom drop down fields you can do that, after opening dropdown just hit backspace key
