Let's say you have the following code in your web page: var adobeDataLayer = adobeDataLayer || []; adobeDataLayer.push({ pageInfo: { pageName: 'About us' }, });Then, you can create a data element like so:Adobe Client Data Layer > Data Layer Computed StatePath: pageInfo.pageNameWhen the above code runs in your web page, your Launch data element will return "About us".You can then use that data element in your Launch components. E.g. in the Adobe Analytics extension's configuration, you could set ...

Your referenced article is written to teach you how to do exactly what you've observed: track what the user did after closing the print dialogue. If you want to track your "Print" button clicks regardless of what the user finally did, you can use a regular "onclick" event handler with your button. Or if you're using Launch, you can use a Rule that has a Click event for that button.

Unfortunately, the short answer is "no". You're always going to face the problem where you have to breakdown one value by one value. That's why I recommended Data Warehouse: you only need to specify the dimensions, and DW will know how to breakdown all of the values.

You can consider looking outside of Analysis Workspace. You have 2 options:ReportBuilder: an add-on for Excel.Data Warehouse: setup and schedule CSV exports that can be sent to email or FTP.I think Data Warehouse will be a better option for you.

Well, that's not helpful in our troubleshooting, because we need to verify that eVar7 really is capturing the expected values.

Thanks for the input, @StewSchilling . I am personally not in favour of overwriting functions that have been specified in the library, because it introduces a new area of error if I or my successors forget about it. Also, I've corrected my regular expression in the post to accommodate more variable names. There could still be others that are left out, but it would be trivial for someone who wants to use this code to add them into the expression, if needed.

That's interesting, so the full URL is being tracked to the eVar as expected, complete with the "#" and all... although the screenshot shows eVar51, whereas you've always been mentioning about eVar7. 🤔

@lakshmip2here's what you can do:1. Create a Rule.2. Add a Click event.2.1. In that click event, use a selector that basically selects all links that have URLs that are not of your website's domain name. I leave that as an exercise in writing CSS selectors to you.3. Add an Adobe Analytics > Send beacon action, like what you've done in your screenshot.3.1. In the Destination URL, specify %this.getAttribute(name)%.This assumes that your links have the following specification: Click me!

It'll be hard to diagnose the problem without knowing more about your campaign and analytics setup. This Google Help article is a good place to start, just read "Google Analytics" as "Adobe Analytics": Why Google Ads Clicks and Analytics Sessions don't match in your reports - Analytics Help

By default, Exit Links are tracked with the links' URLs.If you want to track with your "name" attribute, you need to track those with a s.tl("e", ...) beacon.

Thanks for sharing, @atulsingh17 ! Variables which you don't want to persist to linkcalls, can be set in Global Variable in Analytics extension and the variable which you would want there is linkcalls can be set in doPlugins() section. With that, even though clearVars() would clear all the globally set variables but variables like lang/site-section can be set in doPlugins() so next time when you have linkcall you would have those set again. That is precisely what I want to avoid: remembering to ...

(Disclaimer: The following recommendation is based on my personal experience. It is not endorsed nor recommended by Adobe or any of its partners.) Background: sending more than one beacon in the same page When it comes to accurate analytics tracking, one of the most important things to guard against is that you don't track variables that shouldn't actually be tracked. This happens particularly often when multiple beacons are sent from the same web page. A simple example is what happens when you ...

Are you able to show a screenshot from the Adobe debugger when you open https://accounts.meijer.com/manage/account/create#/user/createprofile?icid=mPerks:Rewards:SignUp ? I would like to see that the URL is indeed being captured in eVar7.

Strictly speaking, your "parameters" are not actual URL parameters, but are part of the hash fragment. In the URL specification, parameters are those that are after the "?" character. In your case, it looks like your website has been designed to use parameters that are after the "#" (hash) character. This is a non-standard implementation, so third-party tools that assume the actual URL specification may interpret your website's URLs "wrongly".It could also be that your website actually has a scri...

The easiest solution would be:Create one project per teamWithin each project:Filter the Pages in the freeform table as you desire, orCreate a segment for your desired pages and add it at the project-level to restrict all of the project's visualisations

Adding on to @Andrey_Osadchuk 's answer, are you intending to capture the ICID value in your Tracking Code / Campaign variable or in a dedicated eVar, like eVar7? Your post's title suggests the former, but your post itself suggests the latter. While you can configure AA to track Tracking Code / Campaign variables fairly easily from a specific query parameter (particularly if you're using Adobe Launch), tracking an eVar from a query parameter isn't so straightforward.

Let me answer this first:Is this the correct way to do this? When altering the container types between Visitor/Visit/Hit it is altering the final segment size, leaving me slightly confused as to the correct way to do this.Recall that:a Hit is every instance / beacon / hit of data sent to AAa Visit comprises of 1 or more Hits within a period of timea Visitor comprises of 1 or more Visits over the visitor's lifetime (more specifically, for all visits where the same visitor ID has been set)So depen...

If you need to know how many people clicked on the link on Page A to get to Page B, then you should consider using a Fallout visualisation.Step 1: Page --> Page AStep 2: Custom Link --> the linkStep 3: Page --> Page BBetween each steps, Analysis Workspace defaults to "Eventual Path". You could change that to "Next Hit", i.e. the next action after opening Page A is to click that link.

Unfortunately, you can't segment at the Product level in Adobe Analytics. This is a built-in limitation that cannot be overcome. The next best thing that you can do is to get the data out into your own interface, e.g. Excel using Report Builder, or your own tool using the Analytics API or Data Feeds, and build your own report there.

I do this fairly frequently, and so far, I've never encountered race conditions. So it looks like when Launch finds a reference to a data element in any component (whether in another data element or in an event or condition or action), it evaluates the data element and returns the value to the component that uses it.

Scenario (2) is the more likely scenario.Analytics systems have no knowledge of the user's tabbed browsing behaviour, they just track hit after hit after hit. So all of the hits are recorded as if they are coming from the same browser tab. So (1) is unlikely to be the case.
