Being able to schedule a workspace (rather than individual reports) would be a great extention of this.

It would be great to see Adobe introduce more functionality to help with the analysis of marketing attribution that goes beyond simple first/last touch. Not everyone is ready to buy Insight, and unfortunately this is an area that SiteCatalyst is potentially not as strong as competitors. There is definitely a growing interest inside our organisation around this kind of analysis and it would be fantastic if there was something on your road map around this that I could point to.

In 'ad hoc analysis' (formally Discover) we are restricted to 20 preset rolling date ranges. I find this very limiting, for instance I can select a rolling date range of 'last three months' but it is impossible to create a report for the 'last 6 months' because this is not one of the presets. Please can you consider adding a feature that allows us to make any selected date range roll relative to the current date?(as is already available is SiteCatalyst dashboards & report builder)

There are a lot of reports you can only create in Ad Hoc Analysis, and the only way to distribute these reports are as static reports via the e-mail scheduling facility. It would be great if there was a way to share reports created in "Ad hoc analysis" with "Reporting and Analytics" users via the reporting and analytics web interface. Possibly the reports would be uneditable apart from some limited options such as date range.

Hi Bret, Assuming you are referring to using the existing functionality, this unfortunately doesn't solve the issue. As you say this would result in only the new values showing up in the report. However the key point here is that the persistance of those new values would be affected by the processing rule set up in step 1. With the existing processing rule functionality you cannot set up a rule to ignore an incoming eVar value, only replace it with a blank value. Setting blank values will affect...

Having had Adobe Analytic for a number of years we find ourselves in a situation where we are close to using all of our 75 eVars. Many of the eVars are collecting data that we no longer require and we would like to repurpose these eVars. We can't repurpose the eVars unless we can stop the current values that are being sent to the eVar. We don't have a Tag Management System which means we are currently reliant on our IT department to remove the code that is setting the eVars. IT are very slow mov...

I'd find it really useful to be able to sub classify a classification using processing rules. One of the classifications we get passed via our Exact Target data connector is a delimited string. At the moment I have to manually upload a sub classification for this. This could be easily automated if the rule builder could do sub classifications.

Hi Vicky, The crux of the problem is that it is not current possible to prevent an eVar value being set using processing rules. The reason for this is related to the persistence of the eVar values... If I want use a processing rule to prevent an eVar value from being recorded the only option is to set the eVar to a blank value. However, this prevents the persistence of any value previously set in the eVar. I want to be able to completely ignore the incoming eVar value rather than replacing it wi...

Issue:I'm sure there are many companies like ours that have a old style "non-TMS" implementations where props and eVars are hard coded into pages. Where this is the case it can be difficult to change/reclaim props and eVars that have been implemented particularly if access to the relevant IT function is difficult to obtain. Idea:I would like to have a setting in the admin settings that allows me to make break the link between what is coded in the page and what ends up in the analytics database. ...

I would find it really useful to be able to isolate the first and last page view for a session (and therefore understand variable values passed in that metrics call) which is currently impossible. For instance, in our data it would make it possible to see what error messages were seen on the final page view. This could also be powerful when used in combination with sequential segmentation to see what happened within X number of views or X number of minutes of an entry/exit.

In siteCatalyst, modifying a shared segment affects all dashboards/bookmarks/custom reports for all users who have used the segment. At the moment there is no way to tell where share segments are being used (or even if they are being used). So we can't make changes without risking breaking stuff. Please can you consider introducing some kind of audit capability that will allow us to understand which users are using which shared segments in which reports?

We're running desperately short on custom event. It would be great if you could look at increasing the number available again."How on earth have you used a 100 custom events?" I hear you cry 🙂As a financial services company we don't have 1 'check out' process; we have around 10 very different application processes (credit card, mortgage, savings, home insurance etc) which each need there own set of custom events. We need to allocate around 6 events per process, and immediately we've used 60% of...

When setting up a new connection, I can't make the classification intergration update the Marketing Channels/details classifications. For example, with our exact target intergration we would like the message ID classifications to update the marketing channels detail classifications. This seems like an obvious gap, and is an significant issue for us as we make a lot of use of the marketing channels reports.

Scenario:Within a ranked page report I often segment the report to identify a number of pages that I want to analyse using the site analysis report. Current issue:The problem with the current interface is that there is no way to put the pages I've identified in the ranked report into the site analysis report. The sequential segmentation in discover is really useful. However, I want to be able use the functionality to isolate what happened "pre" (or post) some significant event/action.An obvious use case would be to look at what users do in visits prior to a purchase (1 visit prior, everything in the 30 days prior etc). In order to do this I'd need to exclude the visit in which the purchase occured and all subsequent visits. The issue with the current functionality is that the sequence has to sit in a ...

The calculated metric functionally in Discover is really good but it's missing 3 major things; which are the ability to: Use rolling dates in a calculated metricFor example: I really want to be able create reports that show week on week change. Use dimensions in a calculated metricIf I've created a report using dimensions, I have go through converting all the dimensions to segments before I can create calculated metrics from the columns or start from scratch with my calculated metric (both of wh...

At the moment there is the option to either:always record an eventrecord an event once per visituse a serialization ID I would like a 4th option of counting an event once per visit, per a unique value of another variable (e.g. eVar, s.products) For example, we have a number of processes that I want to trigger a completion event for, once per visit per process. My options currently include:Dedicate an event to each process and set each event to count once per visit. (uses too many events)Use a si...

I really like the improved chart graphics that's been recently introduced in to Discover. However, it's pretty frustrating that I can only plot 15 items/bars in a ranked report. Please can you consider extending this? Ideally I'd like to be able to plot 100+ items. I'm guessing that the limitation is because you are concerned about not being able to display a label for each item? However, for what I want to use this for this wouldn't be a concern.

Without the appropriate audit/admin tools it’s virtually impossible to make any significant changes without breaking something.Where are the gaps? Here are some of the questions I’ve need to answer but couldn’t:Who uses which shared bookmarks?Who uses which shared dashboards? What variables are used in which segments? What variables are used in which dashboard reportlets? What variables are being used as breakdowns in reports? What variables are being used in which personal bookmar...

I think this is a good idea; in general I think the audit capabilities need looking at. For instance, in addition to the segment/calculated metric issue mentioned, there's also no way to understand what variables are being used in dasboards, or who's accessing which dashboards. At the moment in a large scale orgnisation like the one I work for, it's almost impossible to make changes to the implementation with out breaking things!

There is currently no way to audit the use of shared dashboards/bookmarks. Consequently we have 100+ shared dashboards/bookmarks and I have no idea which I can delete 😞 Also, I would like an admin control to be able to prevent users from sharing dashboards/bookmarks - a lot of our users do not have enough knowledge of the web analytics data to be creating dashboards that could be seen and used through out our organisation. I want only 'approved' users to be able to share data in this way.
