If this is an ongoing issue you may want to look at browser extensions as possible cause as we've had issues with Chrome browser extensions interfering with the loading of analysis workspace in the past. In particular, if you are using Decibel for journey recording/heatmaps we've had problems with the Decibel chrome extension preventing analysis workspace from loading.

The Site Analysis report used to have a terrible reputation, but I found it very useful and I'm still sad that we don't have a replacement. In particular, I used to love using it to find out how people flowed between two points on a site - it was really useful for properly answering the "can you tell me the top ten journeys?" question that always gets asked! I've tried to get Adobe interested in a new workspace visualisation but they haven't bitten yet 😄https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe...

It sounds like you are capturing the 'previous page' into a prop or an eVar and using this as breakdown on 'page' to see what the previous page was. Conceptually, you can just reverse these dimensions to get a 'next page' report i.e. when you break 'previous page' down by 'page', you can think of 'previous page' as 'page', and 'page' as 'next page' In affect this becomes a 'next page' report which maybe what you are looking for EDIT: you may also want to go and vote for this idea...https://exper...

Description -In Analysis Workspace there is the ability to 'tag' segments, calculated metrics, workspaces etc. works brilliantly making searching, filtering and organising easier. It seems like such an obvious thing to introduce the same capability into Adobe Launch so we can tag Data Elements, Rules and maybe even Properties. Why is this feature important to you -Organisation of all the data elements and rules we have would be a lot easier if we could use tags. How would you like the feature to w...

Description -From a governance perspective separation of duties between Developing, Approving and Publishing a library is really important to us. Unfortunately, the permissions management in Adobe Launch is not flexible enough to enable us to enforce a separation of duties between developing and approving a library. This is because like many Digital Analytics teams we do not have enough people to have a separate development team with development rights and a separate testing team with approval r...

Hi @daryl_m, Using page velocity metric against the page dimension will tell you the average number of pages views that occur after each page. In my opinion, using the page velocity against the entry page, dimension doesn't produce useful data. This is because entry page is one of a small subset of dimensions that operate at the session/visit level and do not work at a hit level. This is the reason why it ends up just returning the average number of page views per visit. I would recommend agains...

I agree with @Brian_Johnson_ that it sounds like a linkTrackVars issue. If you haven't already it may be worth adding a console log just before you send the analytics beacon to see what the linkTrackVars value is at this point.

If I have a two rules that trigger from the same event and one rule at order 50, and the other rule at order 60 - will the rule at order 60 wait for the rule at order 50 to finish before executing if we have "run rule components in sequence" enabled? We are seeing some weird timing stuff going on which would suggest it doesn't wait, but I would like to know for certain.

In order to run 2 report suites with different configurations in one Launch property, I think you are going to have to set up one of your report suites on separate tracking object using s_gi(). See the following help article:s_gi() | Adobe Analytics You'll be able to use the wizard driven Adobe Analytics actions in launch for one of your report suites. However, for the report suite that you move to an alternative tracking object, you'll probably have to set all the variables in custom code (so t...

I think you may need to give us an idea of the report that you are trying to generate off the back of the data collected, then we can advise how best to do this. Are you able to mock up a table(s) with the report output you want at the end of this?

@amgup is correct, you need to set the list var in custom code. The only thing to add is that if you are passing a list var on a custom link tracking call you need to remember to add the variable to s.linkTrackVars in your custom code or else it won't pass through to Adobe (it's easy to forget this as Launch handles this for you when using the form based wizard). A good way to do this is to use the append to list https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/implementation/vars/plugins/apl.h...

Out of interest do all of your 34 variables have the potential to change week to week or can some of them be handled through classifications? Also, of the variable where classifications don't work because they change week to week, how many have a known/limited set of possible values? e.g. I'm assuming season has 4 fixed possibilities - spring, summer, autumn, winter

If the issue is a timing issue (e.g. the browser navigating away before the metrics call can happen) then you may want to take a look at this method that attempts to avoid these issues: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/implementation/vars/config-vars/usebeacon.html?lang=en

This sounds like the getPreviousValue plugin is being called multiple times in the same page load. One thing to check is that you are only calling getPreviousValue when a page view occurs (e.g. not on link tracking calls or other events). For instance, if you've put the getPreviousValue function call in doPlugins it's easy to accidently cause this to run multiple times as doPlugins runs all the time for various reasons (not just on page view).

You could consider moving the aggregator rule above the referring domains rule to give it priority over the referring domains rule - this way there would be no need for the exclusion on the referring domains rule. It's probably better practice to do it this way round and may make it more simple to trouble shoot the issue e.g. if it you are not getting aggregator traffic you know it is because either the query string parameter is missing or does not contain the value you are looking for. A couple...

@yuhuisg - really interesting insight into how you approach this.... and is very different to how I like to set up. I think it is one of those situations where there are multiple approaches and there is no right or wrong approach. Just for the record in case any one is interested here is our approach... We have a Launch rule that always runs before everything else that both calls clearVars and sets linkTrackVars & linkTrackEvents to "none". We do this deliberately to create a completely clean sl...

@Stewart_Schilling It's a fair point, and one I considered 🙂 But I don't think I can get the configuration I wanted this way. I want everything to appear in the console that would normally appear, plus just the custom logs I've set in code using the _satellite.logger function (i.e. none of the other stuff that launch outputs by default when you enable debugging) - Launch seems to split out so much stuff when we have debugging is enabled that it just swamps the console.

Description -Measuring the time between events is an area that is often asked about by our users of Adobe Analytics and is an important measure of improvement for many processes. At the moment if we want to find the time between events we can set custom code up for each specific scenario and pass this into an event, build some calculated metrics etc. but this is a very clunky and inflexible way to operate. I can't help thinking this is an area that Adobe could do something really special in. I'm...

Figures that you were working around an issue.... Particularly interested to hear that you've noticed some issue with the JavaScript promises... we've also noticed that it doesn't always seem to wait for one action to complete before executing the next (even though we got "run rule components in sequence" selected in the property), and we've also seen some oddities where the order of rule execution doesn't seem to be respected unless we put larger gaps between the order number (e.g. we can't go ...

That's really interesting that you've got over 100 rules that include the send beacon action and clearVars action. We've set up Launch so that we've got just one rule that executes all the time to clearVars (we've used the ordering to ensure it always happens after the beacon has been sent), so we've only got one place we have to do this. (we've also only got 2 rules for sending - one for s.t(), one for s.tl() ) I can understand how this might be a frustration if you're having to manage this in ...

Instead of using the dimension in your table, you can create segments for each item (e.g. stronglyAgree) and drag them into left side of the table and it will retain the order in which you drop them in. You may also be able to do this directly with dimension items.
