Journey Entry Capping questions

Avatar

Level 10

In documentations there is a sentence:

In this example, we want to restrict profiles from entering more than “5” journeys in a month.

This means that profile can enter only 5 unique journeys in a month but it can enter specific journey multiple times but its set up in the journey itself?

Entry capping is defined as limiting the number of journey entries over a given period for a profile. The example you mentioned, restricting profiles from entering more than “5” journeys in a month, is setting the maximum number of entries to 5 within a month duration. This means that the cap is based on the total count of entries a profile makes into ANY journey that has this specific capping rule set applied to it. It is not limited to 5 unique journeys.
