Incorporating an Offer in a Journey

Sorry, I am just getting started with AJO and have a very basic question. If I create a Journey and have Email as the 'Action' - how do I incorporate an Offer into this email? Say for example the use case is - Loyalty members who visit the Seasonal Sale page should get a 20% off coupon in the email. I understand the Journey and Offer Management modules individually, just trying to understand how they intersect.

Hi @rntrp,

You need to setup an offer and activate it beforehand creating the email. When you setup criteria to qualify for offers either can go into segment or decision rule when you setup an offer. Once you have offer with 20% off coupon activated within email designer you will have offer decision component to select the offer you want to include.

Thank you. Sorry I had missed that part. 

One more follow up question - for integration with Campaign v7, I see the below note listed:

• All message authoring is done within the Campaign instance itself

So, if we compose a message in AJO with an offer embedded, can we not pass this payload to Message Center for delivery?
