Clarification on IP Addresses for DNS Records in AJO

Avatar

Employee

Hello Adobe Community,

I am in the process of setting up the first subdomain for a client and have noticed several IP addresses listed as type A records in the DNS Records. I would like to confirm whether these IP addresses are the 24 IPs that Adobe provides to the client for sending emails in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).

Could someone please clarify if these IPs are indeed allocated for this purpose, or if they serve a different function?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Diego P.

Hello @DiegoPa6 ,

  • could you please check that your client is using any parent child license from adobe.(Means using same license from parent company to child company).
  • In channels, check subdomains (is there any subdomain other than you created).
  • Check IP pools, are those IP's are used or not.
  • Mostly, The IP's you can see in PTR records are in the name of subdomain you created.
  • yes, those IP's are used to send emails in AJO.

Correct me if am wrong

Thanks

Hi AJODev,

I wanted to confirm that the IPs I mentioned earlier are indeed the ones listed in the IP Pool sections. I believe these are the same IPs that are used to send emails as you mentioned.

Thank you for the information.

Best regards,

Diego P.
