Instantly building segments

Description

When we create a segment, we have to wait till the next day till the segment is filled. But many times, we actually want to use the segment instantly and check the number of customer profiles in the segment. 
The only way to do this quickly now is to do an API call, but that's not a marketeer-friendly solution. We would expect a button to build up the segment instantly or for it to be done by saving the segment, as available in other (ESP) software. 

Why is this feature important to you 

To be able to work fast with segments and don't have to wait days. If you now create a segment and make a small mistake, you probably discover it the next day. But then you change it and have to wait another day till the segment is filled again. 

How would you like the feature to work - Instantly build the segment instead of doing one batch a day, or have a button do the batch right away.

When we build a segment, there is an estimate button which when clicked will give an approximate or estimate of the number of people who will qualify for the segment.

Estimates are generated by using a sample size of that day’s sample data. If there are more than 1 million entities in profile store, estimate count will not give the correct eligible count for the segment. In case profile store count is less than 1 million ,sample size is considered as whole profile store , still estimate count is not the correct count especially on edge and streaming segments as estimates are generated by using a sample size which would be taken once in a day.

@Ananthan_Jayagopal & @Anuhya-Y the request here is really about having the on-demand evaluation feature we have in the APIs as a UI feature:

On-demand evaluation allows you to create a segment job in order to generate an audience segment whenever you require it. Unlike scheduled evaluation, this will happen when requested

The only way to do this quickly now is to do an API call, but that's not a marketeer-friendly solution. We would expect a [UI] button to build up the segment instantly or for it to be done by saving the segment, as available in other (ESP) software.

Hello @Tof_Jossic ,

We are trying to create a segment job but we are getting the following error:

      "There is a problem in segment job validation. Empty segment / computedAttribute list!!!"

Maybe you know why?

@andreacastillom apologies I hadn't seen your ping.

I'm afraid these are typical support ticket issues for which our Support engineers would be looking in the logs for additional info, hence difficult to answer in a forum post.

If you still face the issue, please make sure to raise a support request through your Admin Console and provide the details of your API call.
